I think the fact that it's a majority shareholding is the important fact. we don't know what it's worth anyway. Hopefully more info will follow. Certainly lots of Qs for the AGM.

PB was too short notice for me but happy to buy any Monday dip. It's a compelling story this one.

"I see Gnano a while back got a 1.2 mill euro grant to build a pilot production plant."Have we any idea how much this company could be worth? To pay only £2.9m for a majority shareholding sounds like a pretty amazing deal... perhaps they were VERY keen to be involved with us....I think of it a bit like the TV show dragons den! Entrepreneurs give away huge amounts of equity as they know having one of the dragons on board adds so much value and opens doors that would otherwise be impossible! VRS are the dragon!

Does anyone know what percentage of this business we are buying? I asked Neill on Twitter but no response. A majority holding can be as low as 51% so interested to know exactly what we are getting for our money. Perhaps we will find out more on the podcast, presumably Monday.

Tom Winni has shafted all his shorter mates this morning by the article he did on ShareProphets. Basically saying they were heavily under water and will try to use the Primary Bid allocation to 'get out' of their positions at a discount to buying on the open market. Hopefully VRS are in full control of who gets what and can weed out any shorters who have applied for shares, giving them a 'Sorry, no thanks'.

Reading through the multitude of posts and tweets since the primary bid runs last night and understand the frustration of some that have missed outRe the negativity of some - From my point of view, we have trusted Neill to do the absolute best within his powers for the benefit of all shareholders, and so far long term holders have done wellHappy to trust Neill to do the best going forward

Re primary bid funds, I would expect the full amount subscribed for to be debited. The email confirmation says that in the event of a scale back any excess funds will be returned within five days.Baz

Regarding the Primary Bid payment received and emails I would expect at this stage only for the authorisation of the payment to have taken place for the full amount subscribed which Primary Bid confirmed in email and my bank showing as a pending transaction. Rather like when you reserve a hotel, hire car etc., the actual transaction will only be made when the allocations are confirmed as the amount could be less than reserved. At that point I would expect a WorldPay email if that is who they use for the actual amount and this would hit your bank account a day or so later. We will see Monday and looking forward to the Podcast and AGM to find out more on this exciting deal. If Neill and the team have found another gem like 2DTech or Cambridge Graphene then looks great.

On the share offer payment, I dont think you get debited until they have closed/finalised the book, and decided what allocation can be given to individuals. Most small applicants will get their full request but some larger ones will only get a % of !!
Good luck to those who where in the right place at the right time, not on a flippin golf course ... lol

Getting supercapitors with high energy density( ie being able to store enough energy to compete with batteries) has been the issue holding the tech back. Graphene is thought to hold the key. Looks like VRS may have found the solution. Could be huge.

Look how quickly plastic packaging is being replaced since blue planet tv prog. Could the ground shift quicker than anticipated re air pollution health impact concerns ? Maybe if 2D eco solutions are available to shift the status quo. In either case, 2D materials are the next gen tech here. Dyor. Aimo. Best ellis.

Some details about that funding in 2016. It seems VRS are no the only ones that think Gnano are an interesting company.

Gnanomat applied to the Phase 2 SME-instrument in the H2020 program with the project called GRAPHEEN, receiving an excellent score. Only five projects out of 122 (4%) submitted in the area of the last call have been selected for funding, noting the high level of competition and the excellence of the proposed project.

Great find super. That makes sense of this statement on home page of gnano's website.

"The mission of Gnanomat is to obtain ESS (Energy Storage Systems) more powerful and with higher energy storage capacity. We address this mission through a new generation of nanomaterials portfolio. All our developments and products are made under an environmental friendly policy to bring our industrial solutions to industrial scale and preserve the environment." Best ellis

Just listened to the JW weekend podcast SG.
VRS were not part of this podcast but interestingly at the end JW says he needs to sign off as he has a podcast to do with a "very important person", can't wait to listen on Monday :)

So it looks like they can do what redt can do but possibly better using graphene. If that is the case we are looking at 50 to 100 million mcap addition when that gets moving. On another note. Due to unprecedented demand, leading to long delivery lead times, Golf GTE is currently closed to ordering.Looks like order books for electric cars are starting to swell. Any companies involved in the car battery sector will see lots of speculative investment in the next year.

The trick here is VRS knows what is and isn't graphene and what does and doesn't work for various industries.

It could be a missing piece, I will post re VRS historic battery comments. It could also be that Gnano has tech and equipment that fits nicely with what VRS want and becomes synergistic with Graphene ink production methods and Nanene etc in some parts.

They have seen what Gnano has, VRS have graphene experts to review it. Whatever they are seeing clearly excites them. Either stand alone new sector, combines well with what they want, or both.

We'll hear all about it on Monday no doubt via Vox markets.

WR63, I sent payments throughout the day on Friday via RBS online banking and none of them have affected my balance. I wonder if it's a lingering effect of their (along with Natwest) IT failure reported on Friday morning's news.
