My guess is Neill will know tonight that he has the funds he needs to buy the majority stake. That gives him the rest of the weekend to finalise negotiations to buy the stake. I think we will get an rns on Monday confirming the deal to buy the majority stake in the company.

After this latest rns, I continue to be a sanguine and relaxed investor; in fact, the level of my sanguineness has somewhat increased. Perhaps I might be inclined to release an investor rns over the weekend to expand on this sanguine outlook.

Now read the RNS - doesn't seem at all bad. Part of the vertical integration mentioned previously.However, not hard to imagine what the bears will say: NR mouths off about 600T orders from Unilever-size companies and the 'staggering' potential from Aecom et al and yet - because no significant orders (in terms of size or value) have yet materialised from *anyone* - the company is forced to do a fund raise for a paltry few million quid?

Didn't it say raising not less than 2.9 million? Doesn't that mean if its oversubscribed they can accept more? In which case I'm surprised it won't let people buy now. I bought easily

I expected a fund raise but for short term working capital - with the growing number of employees. The question for me the WHAT IS THE TIME TO MARKET for the 'energy storage devices that offers high power density, almost instant recharging and very long lifetimes for use in electrical vehicles and portable electronics products'?

@neillricketts the funding is for the specific purpose of buying a majority stake in the Spanish company and to scale up its operations. Why didn’t you do the fundraiser once the negotiations are concluded? What happens if you don’t end up taking majority stake?

I'm not going to lie, this is a bit of a curveball to deal with on a Friday afternoon but as already pointed out, Neil is by far the biggest shareholder and hasn't realised the vast majority of the wealth he has created from VRS yet so I highly doubt he would be doing this if it wasn't in the best interests of the firm. I'm sure we wouldn't be invested in a 9m revenue company with a 250m market cap if we didn't have faith in it's leadership so suggest we trust that Neil knows what he is doing. This does sound like a very interesting project and the dilution is negligible.
