Just starting to read and now thought spilling.

First up the could be an AIM company on it's own bit.

Supercapacitors .

CAP-xx something like that are on the AIM for that reason.

A new one to Add REDt, that has mention here too. I've only just started looking but noted this.

Gnanomat, the Spain-based developer and manufacturer of added value nanomaterials for a variety of applications, has announced the signing of a collaboration agreement with HydraRedox Iberia, a Spanish SME formed to develop, manufacture and commercialize large scale batteries based on a proprietary vanadium-redox technology.

Under this agreement, Gnanomat will develop, optimize and manufacture custom advanced materials that will be utilized in Hydra Redox Iberia’s vanadium redox batteries. During the collaboration, development teams from both companies will work together to design and develop advanced nanomaterials, including graphene-based ones.

Just picking out a point that earlier article : "If we could do it ourselves...says merkel." There's the intent. Funding will likely follow. Cos With ev's ; 'it's the battery stupid!' ;)

"CATL, the world’s largest maker of battery cells for electric vehicles, said the new factory was just its first step in Europe.

“We want to supply all the OEMs (manufacturers) in Europe,” Chairman Robin Zeng said. “If the Thuringia project is successful then we can consider other locations.”

The CATL factory will create about 600 jobs and reach production of 14 gigawatt hours (GWh) by 2022. CATL reached shipments of 12 GWh in 2017.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the CATL investment was a good step but said it did not rule out Europe eventually competing with the Chinese. “If we could do it ourselves, then I would not be upset,” Merkel said.

"The VDMA engineering industry association said it hoped CATL’s investment could help drive further investment in battery technology in Europe."

Then VRS RNS;

VERSARIEN MAKES "SIGNIFICANT ADVANCEMENT" IN BATTERY STORAGE DEVICES[ 02 Jul 2018 11:19 ]

LONDON (Alliance News) - Advanced materials engineering group Versarien PLC said Monday it made "significant advances" through its collaboration with Warwick Manufacturing Group to incorporate its graphene nano platelets into power storage devices.

Shares were trading 8.2% higher at 136.30 pence each.

The company aims to significantly increase the power storage capacity of batteries and supercapacitors by incorporating graphene nano platelets into the devices.

The company said it "looks forward to commercial products becoming available in due course"

could increased storage capacity mean smaller, therefore cheaper and lighter batteries? Especially if used in EV's ?

Just pinged you what coins I have bootie!

I applied for the shares just after 5pm and received an email from primarybid confirming payment received but the money hasn't left my account and I have no other emails so a bit concerned I may not have got them....

Anyway, not the end of the world if I haven't, just delighted about the acquisition, ticks so many boxes.

"...then register now and you will receive email as soon as something like this happens again..." - Megan

I received 3 emails regarding the placing: from Versarien, Primary Bid and ADVFN, in that order, between 1700 and 1800 yesterday. Not sure if that helps.

Is there any way of getting a text notification in future?

Back to PB, I still haven't had a confirmation from World Pay. The payment isn't showing up online with NatWest so I have just managed to speak to my bank who confirm my payment has gone to Jarvis. It won't show online until Monday apparently due to being paid by debit card. I received my shares from the 18p offer on the Thursday, so 4 working days. Those shares remain in my account untouched as will my allocation from this time. Hope that helps some who are possibly missing an email

Far from the AGM propelling the share price to new highs it could propel it south as a lack of news deflates the rampers balloon.

And red she goes. NR is going to have to pull a very big rabbit out of the hat to redeem himself.

If you have learnt anything from visiting here it should be that NR loves a challenge, careful what you wish for :o)

a few questions for the AGM

what % of Gnanomat would VRS own if the deal goes through?
have Gnanomat tested Nanene in their processes? (no collaboration has been announced, maybe for confidentiality reasons)
are all the collaborations that have been announced so far still live? i.e. have any companies walked away as things didn't work (I wouldn't expect VRS to RNS this)

I personally am big fan of PB for the many reasons outlined by SG1. If unhappy have missed out this time then register now and you will receive email as soon as something like this happens again. Yes might get scaled back but at least have the opportunity and hopefully keeps fwd selling to minimum... For record long term holder and no desire to sell for long time. Big tick from me to Neil and team.

The 145p offer price was worked out by discounting the last 20 day average price.

Thanks SG,
I learnt early on that the curveballs NR throws makes trading VRS very risky!

I do trade a bit using charts (mainly elsewhere) but charts do interest me and I have used them fairly successfully here when buying in and topping up when funds allow which has helped to increase my holding.

That drop to 1.58p was a clear "buy more" signal to me :)

While you're looking superg1 do you think as I suspect, reading between the lines, Neill has found a distressed seller here?

By the way now that £vrs is a majority holder we have the opportunity to correct the website's enthusiastic but eccentric English. I've copy-edited three books and am currently unemployed, just saying... what was Nigel Laughton's email address again?

ashehzi, its an absolutely cracking deal, hats of to Neill and his team. Im not angry i just have beef with PB as its a hunting ground for flippers. Im really pleased that NR has maybe restricted allotments to 2k.
I would just like to see all PI who have supported this company when holding firm unlike certain institutions have the opportunity in a fund raise.

Re who is who on primarybid I can think of a fix there.

I was wondering if they should hand out more than listed to capture more PIs so that they don't miss out.

They did last time. Seems a good idea to me considering we only left the fund raise price area about 10 trading days ago.

At 150p it would have been at 123p.

Make hay while the sun shines I say. The dilution is insignificant.

The speed it was taken up just shows how much PI interest there is out there. I wonder how high it would have gone oversubscribed had it been left run the full course.

Not forgetting of course it looks like another gain that could be an AIM company on it's own. Cheap as chips.

Right time to look at Gnano thingy .

Bootie

I was enjoying your charts and method of friendly delivery instead of trying to preach and convert people.

I though nice one when you predicted the drop re overbought and the bounce as in one of your charts. I thought you would be most pleased with your trade then saw that you didn't do it, sods law. :-)

I was going to say stuff it to my trading pot and buy on the low but got distracted many times during the day and by the time I could have a look properly it was off back to 180p.
