Lucky Orange im hardly panicking with a core holding average of 15p.

My gripe is the use of PB which is a platform for flippers and the ridiculous discount given.

Another positive twist to the narrative in my opinion.

Pity about the apparent leak, but I don't suppose any permanent damage would have been done.

I hope those who shorted ahead of this announcement have a disturbed weekend. They are going to have to act swiftly on Monday morning or risk being left way behind.

This tweet : "We didn't need the money for the existing business, it is a great opportunity imho and gives us a massive advantage in battery tech, it is very very low dilution. I know I am the largest shareholder"

"Massive advantage in battery tech!" Wow ! Wonder what the IP vrs worth now ! It's what the world needs now, 2D eco solutions. Congrats neill. Happy to be surfing the VRS wave ! Atb. Ellis

You've all broken the Primary Bid website. This is what I'm getting now:

The www.primarybid.com page isn’t working

www.primarybid.com is currently unable to handle this request.

These offers only seem to work for those who can sit watching their computer all day!

john henry, stop panicking on twitter, if you look at the big picture it is a great move except for those on spreadbets and who knows it may not drop at all.

Certainly a good way of circumventing Brexit, expect a couple of II's being involved in the raise and as NR said , they have choice in the allocations which will weed out most of the chancers..... calm down dear 🌞

Well that's answered the question I had prepared for the AGM:

On page 13 of the recent annual report four objectives for the current financial year are listed. Number one is (and I quote)

"Identify and acquire majority stakes in companies capable of commercialising graphene applications.

We are continually looking at potential acquisitions both in the UK and Europe to further expand our global presence and add to our range of 2-D materials."

Could you update us on any progress on this objective please?

Is there no limit to NR's ability to outthink us? Well done.
One very contented LTH

Future behaviour/success can often be predicted upon past behaviour/success imo. See this news item from 2017 ! Every confidence in neill and team. Aimo. Best ellis

"Grabbing university startups on the cheap has become a sector sport. Last month the AIM-listed carbide manufacturer Versarien took a majority stake in graphene-based ink product developer Cambridge Graphene – but it paid just £170,000. This early bailout by the latter's shareholders must form the lowest-ever sales price for any recent Cambridge spinout company.

Whether it signals the final chapter in UK University enthusiasm for graphene remains to be seen. Owned by its management and Cambridge Enterprise, the commercialisation arm of the University of Cambridge, the spinout may help Versarien in its quest to "commercialise the market opportunities for graphene both in the UK and internationally".

Neill Ricketts, chief executive of Versarien, earlier hinted that his firm was happy to mop up graphene-related assets in the UK for bargain prices. Back in April 2014 it had bought 2-DTech, a Manchester University spinout that had developed the capability to produce graphene using a chemical vapour deposition process. Versarien paid only £440,000 in total."

I have tried a few times and would only accept at max 2k shares. Just gone through but states "You will be notified of your location when the results are announced."

Fantastic news well done Mr R. The fact that VRS can raise £2.9m by issuing just 2m shares is testament to the extraordinary success that Neill and the team have enjoyed since the last primary bid raise at 20p ish if a recall. Hopefully demand will dictate that we actually raise double, you never know when it will come in handy, that would be less than 3% dilution. If the deal turns out to be worth a fraction of 2D or Cambridge in 18 months time it will be an amazing deal. This will also increase the pool of investors that will research the company. Its all ticking along nicely, roll on USA, China etc etc good things come to those who wait.

Having gone to all the other of downloading, changing password, filling details etc Payment doesn't work. If you could subscribe then they alloted them out at the end of the fundraise it would be fairer. I like the idea but the app just needs improvement.

Yeah, if I were a Mr Man I would be called 'Mr hindsight'...

Been to golf, 196 posts to read but have to go out.

Saw news while in the golf club, thought it was going to be a holdings rns.

Just posting because now it's obvious what the 160p dive was all about. Dirt and fraud somewhere trying to get the share price down to discount it lower.

I did warn you, all nomads are bent. A fail though as it bounced.

Very interesting acquisition. I crossed their path some time back but never read up on them. I will do now (obviously)

Must be something special about them on the battery side.

Non-Twitterati should find the current dialogue with NR instructive:

Someone's hacked DimTim's account unless he's genuinely enthusiastic.
