If there is a slow down in spending companies will have to mark down prices not raise them...if and when Russia announces war is over or pulling troops out Oilys will fall off...Russia is playing the inflation game to counter act sanctions...but notice more pundits are now saying the sanctions are hitting the West more than Russia...it is back firing...

inflation will come down. think about it 10% rise year on year compounded is massive. So it will peak around 10-15% probably later in the year as there is a 6-8 month lag before the higher energy prices start to be reflected in price of goods in the shops.

So much rate rise fever talk going on that it probably won't rise as much as market expects...think the FED will talk the talk but manufacture inflation stats lower...also headwinds from high cost of living...

Covenants probably matter more at this point than the interest rate

consumer spending slowdown, debt with interest rate rises coming. this is why share price is down. happy times if you are getting a 10% interest on debt. aren't CCL paying a whopping 10% interest rate on some debt?

Carnival with a lot less debt would be a target at these prices

Question for the kitty cats: How much are they valued at?

into the last hour in US trading. this is where the trades that matter take place. come on CCL bounce you sod. even a 5% bounce would only get back half of today's losses.

jan-mar. Seems to have some legs to this story.

Wonder if Carnival are thinking of swapping Seabourn for a cancellation of some of their debt pile with the Wealth Fund.

god help us if the S&P closes 20% below the high. that would indicate a bear market and possibly a flood of new sellers knowing out luck.

I don't agree the price decline in Carnival is due to Covid, all cruise lines have been hammered this week. The scare story from the BOFA indicating they thought the whole cruising industry could need refinancing had caused this latest drop. I do agree the whole industry needs to move on from Covid
