Flyer through the door, 12 nights on Queen Mary 12 jun to the fjords for £989 inside, 1286 balcony. 7 nights qm fjords 692 on 14 aug. Cheap for probably the most iconic ship on the planet still sailing.

I'd go for the 12 night if I didn't already have one booked at that time - a great first cruise if anyone's interested.

The rns confused me a bit. It's Carnival cruise lines who had record bookings for their fleet, not Carnival plc for all their brands (which will likely be announced soon I expect).

I think (but not certain) atm, you can cancel due to covid and you'll get a 100% future cruise credit - same if you test +ve with the pre-boarding test.

Until recently, I think you could cancel for any reason and get a 100% fcc, but I think those deals have ended now, or are just about to end.

Not certain because these things change very frequently and it's hard to keep up!

We're booked on QE in July, if we tested positive pre flight, do they still let you postpone without cost?

Lisbon is great imv. Last time we had a fantastic 'free' walking tour which really gives the local views of the place - we have a long list of things to see when we go again. Coffee and pastel de nata in the old elegant A Brasileira takes some beating. (Warned it was very expensive, and it came to 7 euros for the two of us, cheap but probably expensive by local standards). Had a red bus tour there once - a disaster due to the heavy traffic, so i wouldn't do that again. Tram 28 for our next visit. The sail in and out down the Tagus is wonderful.

I am with you stan been to Lisbon 6 or 7 times and never found much to like about the place, custard tarts not included in that about all that is worth getting off the ship for. Not a fan of cities though each to their own. jan-mar dont be influenced by our views of Lisbon go with an open mind you might love the place.

Have a great cruise. I've done that cruise several times and found that one of the most underrated ports is Lisbon, Great city! s

Some confusion I think between onielly and me!. Still, as long as CCL keeps going up it doesn't bother me.I think CCL is in for several months of recovery now the fleet is all sailing and demand growing. Easily the best value luxury holiday around, just many don't yet realise.Bofp says a new billion quid ship pays for itself after 18 months imv.

>Pierre,
We were Queens Grill on that cruise. If you go up on the mid-ships lift it will take you to the decks where only a few have the card for access to. You will find two restaurants The Queen's Grill on the port and the Princess Grill on the starboard side. There you will also find a bar used by both restaurants. £5 for a coke and you thought you were in St Mark's Square. We were, however, very disappointed with the service levels to our suite and it could only be described as very poor. What they did get right being very much social animals at home owing to our nature of employment have the skills to leave us alone. They got that just right! I would have thought that with your expected winnings in the next few months and longer term winnings with this stock you should treat yourself at least once. The restaurant is well worth the experience. S

Dress codes for rich Yanks on the transatlantic crossings in Queens don't seem to apply any more. Baseball caps and jeans. We complained but the sniffy MD was obviously getting bigger tips from the scruffy Septics, so we nicked loads of the chocolate mints on the way out.

Free booze is just Queens. Queens on QE nicer than QM2. More intimate, food hotter. If you can't run to Queens I suggest Club Balcony. You get to eat when you like in the Club restaurant no rigid times and you get a balcony cabin. Princess Grill suites not much bigger than Balconies. With Queens and Princess you do get to use the Grills lounge, which is nice and hobnob with the Gilly Gouldens of this world. If you're in Queens you get one over on the freeloading B listers as they only get Princess.

Were you Queens or Princess Grill, as I believe the free booze in your Suite is just Queens??We're booked on QE from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale in a pretty decent Balcony and the Princess Grill cabin doesn't look better to us, maybe bigger balcony.

expensive for sure, but strangely great value versus a princess summer cruise selling the last of the suites, a mere 19,000 dollars PER PERSON for two weeks....
