--Deutsche Bahn wants to stop using Bayer's weed-killer glyphosate and is working with the German government to develop alternatives for use along its 33,000-kilometer-long railway network, Deutsche Bahn board member Ronald Pofalla told German business publication WirtschaftsWoche.

--Deutsche Bahn is the largest single buyer of glyphosate in Germany, purchasing around 65 tons of the herbicide annually, according to WirtschaftsWoche.
