Siemens AG's (SIE.XE) Building Technologies division is acquiring Enlighted Inc., Siemens said Wednesday.

Enlighted is a provider of internet-of-things systems in buildings with headquarters in Silicon Valley. Its main offering is smart sensors that work on cloud computing.

Siemens said the acquisition will expand its smart-building technology offering with a digital sensory system, with advanced lighting control as a main element, enabling users to optimize energy usage.

Closing of the deal is expected in the third quarter.

Both parties have agreed to not disclose financial details, Siemens said.
