Bingo.. loving today RNs . shorted this @ 10.10p. made all my loss back from takeover bet and now into over £15k profit.. now let's get ready for a lovely summer holiday in Dubai ( a lovely superdry place ) 🤣🤣🤣
Very good assessment. The new takeover is via the underwritten RI and placing. One of Europe's richest men, Xavier Niel, is doing this with a company called GAM right now. Exact same method

shinnas that is just wishful thinking on your part. There is more chance of Superdry PLC going into ADMINISTRATION and LIQUIDATION, and wiping out all existing SDRY shareholders. The only realistic hope of a takeover / MBO evaporated when Julian Dunkerton couldn't raise sufficient money (£150+ Million) to buy the business and pay-off its massive debts
05-04-2024
Realistically, NOBODY is going to launch a takeover bid for Superdry PLC because it owes its Lenders at least £150+ Million mostly to Hilco Capital and Bantry Bay Capital paying extortionate interest on the borrowings and the business is losing money every single week just for good measure. So that's another one of your failed share ramps firmly put to bed, LOSER BOY How do you manage to end up owning so many dud shares, I mean that's now ASOS, Boohoo, Currys, and Superdry.

dealy, â€￾is the company really only worth 9m quid ? takeover by Frasers or Next - any chance ?â€￾ It’s worth less than £9m! The last accounts showed that liabilities exceeded assets by £41m! And since then they’ve burnt c. £1.5m a week! JakNife

Julian Dunkerton has a lot to answer for. This should have been laid to rest a long time ago but the alleged takeover sucked more naive investors in and allowed a few more knowledgeable to exit not so badly off as once might have been. He has enough from the initial ipo to more than cover a takeover Duplicitous is the least of the adjectives that should be used honest upstanding and principled don t get a look in,neither did a few gullible and seasoned investors. All the best

JD disappointed me on Thursdays with no bid.. but it turned out JD used the takeover bid to ramp up the share so they can get more finance sorted. didn't fancy going because found out JD weren't going to turn up either.
isn't strange skynews has no coverage of JD pulling out from making a bid. if superdry were delisting and go into administration, it would have been all over akynews by now.. opps nothing in skynews , why?? because someone could be making a takeover bid, or a all cash offer bid.. watch this space👌
remember the shorting team of tongo, neon,TMS, they sprout fear for holders to part their shares. Forlorn post is exactly what is happening.. hold and wait for future takeover plot
Unfortunately, you must close your short position at the higher price. Superdry strategically used a takeover story to stabilize share prices during uncertain times. The company has now secured a secondary lending facility with Hilco Capital Limited to enhance liquidity for its turnaround plan and cost reduction program. Despite 24% of shares being unavailable for sale on Tuesday, significant interest from major players is evident. It's unlikely that JD intends to lower share prices to benefit competitors. Unfortunately for you, the charts indicate an upward movement.…….There can be no certainty that a transaction with Julian Dunkerton will be agreed. Company has continued to prioritise driving forward its cost reduction agenda. It is set to deliver in excess of £40m in savings this financial year, ahead of the initially stated target of £35m, with more than £20m of those savings already achieved in H1.

just read the loan extension RNS again. so now we are back to pre takeover bid news. hilco extend loan till Feb 25, £20m additional loan made available. £10m now and £10m more made available for sept-oct if needed. this tell us , the company will still be an ongoing business, hilco support means superdry is not yet a dead duck. this his now a recovery stock, my average is 32p, most superdry staff average is 25-26p ( which none of the staff has sold) superdry family members average @ 29-30p. all is not lost as we all held for a takeover bid. bid did not materialized, but business is still active. hilco believes in JD (prick) turnaround plan otherwise would not extend loan and provide additional £20m. people with 25p-35p averages should not worry too much. this could recover higher than 25p easily IF recovery plan works.. don't feel defeated after no bid offer, the game is not over yet..
THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FALLING UNDER RULE 2.8 OF THE CITY CODE ON TAKEOVERS AND MERGERS (THE "CODE") 28 March 2024 Statement Regarding Superdry plc ================================ The Board of Superdry concluded that a takeover offer from Julian Dunkerton for the Company is unlikely to deliver a satisfactory outcome for shareholders, or for stakeholders.
Despite struggling to find anyone willing to lend him any money, it's now "Put-Up-or-Shut-Up" time for Julian Dunkerton, (pictured above) as the UK's Takeover Panel has set a deadline of 29th March 2024. In accordance with Rule 2.7 of the City's Takeover rules, Julian Dunkerton must either announce a firm, binding and irrevocable Offer to buy Superdry PLC or he must walk away.
Jaknife That will depend on whether JD can demonstrate to the takeover panel he is making progress and believes he can get into a position to make a cash offer, they won't let him just keep asking for an extension. any RNS will likely outline what progress he has made if an extension is granted

I'm proud to be store manager of superdry. those who feel being wind up because I'm going long, and they going short. but I'm going to tell you , JD has already arranged party in place. also tomorrow will also be a big blue day cause superdry staff, family and friends will be all bet for a JD takeover.. close your shorts or be warned that you going to get burnt 🔥 very very badly.

Seems very odd to call it a celebration when there's no guarantee there will be a takeover to celebrate.A takeover often incurs instant closure of the most underperforming shops, and redundancies. Not something they'd throw a party for.To organise a party before the market has even been advised of an offer being made, would break listing and FCA reporting regulations.I do hold SDRY stock, 10,000 shares, but this fake news surely can't be why the price is going up?. I do hope there is something more meaningful behind the rise, even if it's just the expectation of an offer being made in the next few days.
it would be a bit dumb of store managers to trade on potential inside information. of course if it is correct and the company is being salvaged for now, there is no guarantee that it is being done via a takeover at a premium to the current share price

been busy last 3 days dishing out summer stocks for superdry.. been traveling around several locations . went from Trafford centre, back to Bullring, then went to oxford Bicester village , down on the m4 to Swindon outlet, and to wales Bridgend outlet. would like to confirm , all stores super busy.. Business as usual and superdry remain one of the popular outlets shops. all looking good for JD to takeover his beloved baby. â￾¤ï¸￾

back to Topic.. superdry takeover price getting cheaper and cheaper for JD . 45p will do.. 🤣
19-03-2024
the lower the SP the cheaper it will be for SD to takeover his beloved fashion business. 24-26p trading range is perfect for small creature popping up in chat board using scary tactics to make investors part with their shares. this has takeover written all over it cause it is the founder who JD who is making the Bid.. he knew what the debt pile was , otherwise JD would not have announced his intention to take this private.. DYOR

winning stock there's no need to bang the drum. RR, netflix,Facebook, HE1, TLW , IQE, FARN, .. you just bank the profits quietly .. one thing I never do is search for people history, what is the point?? 🤣🤣 anyway I'm in superdry at 35p , hoping for takeover bid.. so what????? my cash my choice, your cash your choice..
15-03-2024
sellhighandbuylow superdry is at its lowest , now its time to buy before takeover bid announce in 10 days time
14-03-2024
breaking news. source from China cctv has mentioned the Chinese is interested in backing JD to takeover superdry. in return JD must smuse chinese writings on the clothings instead of Japanese writings. we all know china and japan don't get on, and for only £150m , small change to the Chinese, what great idea and great concept of China putting one over the Japs.
I'm only cheering SD to keep going up because I'm invested in it. hence prior to all takeover deadline the SP always get shorted then shorters sell then go long until final few days.. we will see 3-5% blue daily until announcement.. again good luck all. come on JD, come on SD 🤣🤣🤣

ICAC, "so why isn't the share price at 5 - 10p as you say??" Because there are shareholders out there who still don't understand that a "takeover" can be achieved via a pre-pack administration, which would leave shareholders with precisely nothing. JakNife
as I mentioned yesterday, this stock is being driven down so big players can accumulate more for their role in the takeover outcome. Well done Scot..
12-03-2024
No takeover, there is no equity left, pre-pack, and by the look of Dunkerton face at Cheltenham today he doesn’t give a flying fuck. Either smug or given up the ghost, but for shareholders he is a disaster. This company is fooked, and anyone in here should get out now!
superdry share price is being pushed down in recent weeks so someone can accumulated enough shares for takeover. for the past 3 weeks, buys has outweigh sells each day.. yet the price drift down. expect a take over bid of 50p minimum for full control of the company.
11-03-2024
29th of March is the takeover deadline, dripping down more today soon be back in the 20s
Must be something due as takeover panel was updating a while back for superdry. Found it on a timed google search. Now fallen off the result list for some reason. I think something today for US open, or maybe in the morning ready for Cheltenham. Let’s see ??
08-03-2024
sorry, not interested in your worthless and irrelevant conspiracy theories.
WOULD THAT BE THE RUMOURS YOU JUST DREAMT UP THEN ??
am I right to say that the lower the sp fall, the higher chance JD will put an offer bid for a takeover? I see the worst case scenario would be 50p bid meaning buying in now surely guaranteed a 30% plus profit.

The City doesn't share your optimism In December, Superdry PLC issued a profit warning stating an “abnormallyâ€￾ mild autumn had resulted in weak sales and a delayed uptake to its AW23 collection. Retail sales in the 26-week period to 28 October fell 13.1% year-on-year as stores and ecommerce were impacted by the warmer weather.

On paper this business is shot to pieces on so many levels. What you all fail to realise is that this isn't your average takeover story. Here is a guy that has an emotional attachment and who really doesn't care about the dire financial situation. His heart is ruling his head and it will undoubtedly come down to how much he is willing to dip into his own pockets.

1. Until such time as there is an official R.N.S statement confirming a takeover bid for Superdry PLC, I AM STILL A KNOB NOTHING CHANGES !!2. Essentially FACTSandFIGURES remains a heavily indebted with my loss making spreadbet with liabilities far exceeding asset

Dunkerton supposedly going around the City with a begging bowl doesn't GUARANTEE anyone will lend him more money.
11-02-2024
Julian Dunkerton should have got the finance in place, before saying or doing anything else !!!

Another Peel Hunt accumulation of stock for their big buyer. 1) CEO already working with financiers to fund a takeover. 2) Multiple companies lined up to counterbid 3) Bidding was ensues 4) Holders cannot lose as the takeover offer will always have to be higher than the current price 5) Valued at £400m to £600m by the experts, so if it went for £200m in a bidding war it would still be at least £200m discount to the buyer at the lowest valuation. £215m would be £2 per share, quite doable. 6) Sell the stock and Peel Hunt's client will hoover it up 7) Hold the stock and wait for the bid and counterbids and you'll make far more money
Too many losers and share rampers on here that think they can just "talk-up" the share price !!
06-02-2024
.Looks like another dead cat bounce and a chance for some to SELL and get out !!
Utter bollocks The brand is deadThey are losing money If no takeover they will be straight in administration
There's certainly some retards on here LOL!!! . 1) CEO already working with financiers to fund a takeover. 2) Multiple companies lined up to counterbid 3) Bidding was ensues 4) Holders cannot lose as the takeover offer will always have to be higher than the current price . No way is this going to the wall, the brand is worth 400 million to 600 million according to analysts, plus the buyer can write off the SDRY losses against it's own tax, making it a win-win for a company like those that could counterbid. . Note how quickly it just bounced off 42p, that shows huge support for the stock.
High levels of debt, falling sales and unservicable debts !!!

Had a look through the rns' - Dunkerton's last purchase that I can see was 17th Feb'23 (so within the 12 month timeframe per takeover code)...400,000 at £1.118 per share Should he table an offer, that is the minimum he can put forward (as too any concert party)
It's easy to see why john09 and all his other share ramping LOSER NAMES (including QANTAS, WolfofHounslow and DyslexicsVoices) lost all his money on ASOS, THG and BOOHOO.
All you share rampers are going to get burned here at this price, it's a SELLERS market !!!
04-02-2024
Someone previously asked what the "Superdry" name and branding might be worth in monetary terms and the simple answer is not a lot !!! A brand name like all other intangible assets (goodwill, copyrights, patents, trademarks, and customer lists) are only worth what someone else is prepared to pay for them, which is usually very little. As an example, back in January 2021, loss making clothes retailer Boohoo PLC foolishly paid £55 Million for the Debenhams brand name, and as Debenhams hasn't made any profits since being acquired, most number crunchers and bean counters including me, would say Boohoo PLC paid £54 Million too much for it. So realistically the "Superdry" name and branding might be worth £1 Million but not much more.

Not the times. You need some hedge fund to buy and pump a takeover.
Takeover target wow
'Takeover talk surrounding Superdry has grown even louder after a new investor began stakebuilding in the embattled fashion brand in the belief that it could become a target.'...THE TIMES

Would you takeover this company? The brand is in terminal decline. No one pays full price, its all discounted gear and worn to do housework in or painting.
hopefully we get a takeover next year at 50p
