ESCHBORN, Germany and BOSTON, Dec. 4,
2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ORSYP, a leading provider of IT
Operations Management solutions, today announced that Migros, the
largest retail chain in Switzerland, is expanding its adoption of
ORSYP solutions for IT workload automation and replacing legacy
systems from CA Technologies. Migros will benefit from a unified
platform of ORSYP's Dollar Universe as the centralized job
scheduling solution, especially for the automation of its business
critical SAP system clusters.
ORSYP Dollar Universe unifies the automation of all logistical
IT transactions across a multitude of business applications,
technologies and operating systems running in geographically remote
datacenters across Migros' cooperative structure. Dollar Universe
provides Migros with a centralized view, from event-based
management through to a complete process-oriented management of the
entire IT infrastructure and applications.
The benefits of the "one job scheduler" strategy: optimization,
end-to-end visibility and continuous real-time management of all IT
processes, appropriate reporting covering the entire production
environment as well as risk mitigation during disaster
recovery.
"We are delighted to expand our long-term relationship with
ORSYP to set the course for the future," explains Patrick Mosberger, head of infrastructure
services at Migros. "In particular, ORSYP's successful track record
as well as their unique peer-to-peer architecture matches with our
strategy of the 'one job scheduler' – this provides a significant
contribution to consolidating our IT infrastructure. Finally,
Dollar Universe enables us both to achieve a higher degree in our
organizational structure and stability of the IT operations at the
same time."
We are happy about the renewed sign of trust from Migros as well
as their willingness to go towards into a joint future,"
Steffen Mandt, General Manager ORSYP
DACH comments. "We are engaged with Migros in a long-term and
strategic partnership and Migros replacing CA Technology's legacy
systems proves again that ORSYP's modern solution set is rightly
leading the area of workload automation."
