Presumably very small amount of graphene in phone batteries - so little cost implication in high value item - But hundreds of millions of phones out there - Perfect market for Nanene

huawei desperate to beet Samsung to the punch re Graphene batteries it seems - Wonder how long Apple going to sit on the fence re this one? - mind you they might well end up using Chinese/Korean batteries i suppose - Re Samsung they`re well on their way re Graphene battery tech - I wonder about their source for graphene - Likely that it can beat ours for quantity, quality & cost? - I doubt it - When they tool up for commercial launch we might just get the call..

Huawei, Samsung, Apple

I wonder how many T in that lot

Latest edition of European Rubber Journal

Hutchinson offering a new lighter weight soft plastic for car, boat and aircraft door seals instead of rubber derivatives. I'm still looking for data on what goes into their Vegaprene and Gygaprene - but they are a company that is sure to be testing graphene in the relentless pursuit of weightsaving.

ERJ is pretty good at reporting progress at tyre manufacturers, and occasionally shoemakers.. worth subscribing to their emailed journal for that alone.

Also possible to get free emailed bulletins from other mags in the plastics/rubber industrry - some of which have search facility for tracking news of graphene involvement:

Andy - Nex/LSE

Both are exchanges for trading shares and have their own rules, opening and closing prices etc. If makes no difference to anyone where the shares are traded and settlement will be in the usual way via your platform and you will always deal at the best price wherever that is.

The LSE dominates London trading but other exchanges are nibbling away at their market share which is good for price competition.

The USA has many exchanges and the prices you see there are on a consolidated price feed with best bid and offer, which will happen here on all platforms if it doesn’t already.

Andy, re NEX, I'm sure there are others on here more qualified to answer (Lovat?), but as I understand it the shares are all traded on both exchanges. The NEX market almost always has a wider spread so is used if people are prepared to pay a bit more/ accept a bit less than they would get on LSE.
As for how can the share price go up on one and down on the other - the % up or down is simply the mid price on both, best ignored really, just look at what price you can actually buy and sell for to get the true price. This is what Fest (and I) do. Put in a dummy sell/buy and you have the true figures for both exchanges as your trade is automatically put to both.

Hope that helps. Please correct me anyone if what I've written isn't correct.

Interesting comparison of cardboard vs plastic packaging on Twitter liked by Neill:

“Making paper and cardboard is almost certainly the third largest industrial use of energy on the planet. By contrast, plastic is light, durable and its manufacture is generally not particularly energy intensive – at least by comparison to paper. A second concern is that many paper and cardboard products, probably including Riverford boxes, end up in local authority landfill, where they rot down anaerobically, creating the greenhouse gas methane in the process. Plastic, as is well known, doesn't rot and sequesters its carbon for ever.”

pcjoe - Haven't found one yet. I'm just putting the pieces together...Huawei definitely working with M/C uni to develop graphene batteries for mobiles, Huawei working with WMG on other projects, we work with WMG, we have an rns stating that as a result of our work with WMG and 'their partner companies' we are about to commercialise batteries, Huawei now say the same....

Shorters trying to do their best and engage Neill. Trying hard, they are. Seems more of an ego issue to them than the stock itself.
