Skyelight - great post - I had not seem what Nike are now doing. This totally makes sense for Nanene enhancement.

SG agreed re tests but buying a stake and subsequently placing a large order would look suspicious and have to be handled carefully, probably with VRS agreement too.

The Big Short is a great lesson about being aware of dodgy salesmen, doing due diligence for investing and how rubbish really can get to extreme valuations for a long period of time.

John Maynard Keynes: The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.

On IG markets 67% of Tesla positions are short.

I believe it was 86% before the Tesla good news and share price surge.

Elon did warn them, hey ho.

Anyone watched the movie called 'The big short'.

Based on the market collapse re the banks and US mortage issues (subprime).

A snippet into just how hell bent and fraudulent the market can be to hide the truth.

As you can see the big bears on Tesla work to trash anyone or anything that speaks well of Tesla.

Doh!!!
😂

'Tesla's surging stock has cost short sellers $1.1 billion in a single day'

The innovation race is well and truly on in the sportswear space; ALL the big brands are in on the action. There's going to be a paradigm shift to hi tech personalised products manufactured locally, the supply chain model as we know probably has a shelf life. As Nike seem to be on everyone's mind atm check out this brief article on the future of the trainer manufacturing. It's not going to replace the legacy process any time soon but may well be up and running for high end products sooner than you think. Imagine adding Nanene to the 3d printed materials.

Dmorty

Yes they do want them to last longer.

Electric car industry on the way, all R and D will now switch to that on the auto side.

While on the topic did you know all claimed miles per gallon is to be redone as it's been discovered that the manufacturers stripped cars to just the driver seat to do the tests removing all unnecessary weight. Audi are on that list.

For electric cars the torque is much higher so tyres wear out at a faster rate.

I think the tyre cos could see graphene far enough - unfortunately if they don’t pick it up then they will be left behind by the up and comers - exclusivity would give a major the chance to close the new tech down or delay - that’s not going to happen with vrs

I dont suppose any of the major tyre manufactures want there tyres to last a lot longer as they would be selling less of them, they really just want better performance from them during there lifespan.

Not forgetting someone may be already doing that, hence the share price rise into a strong supply and the very odd trading circs last week.

I doubt that would feature lovat as VRS have data re performance in various materials.

Eg rubber 50%-100% stronger.

Now if say Nike took a stake knowing they were about to launch kit worldwide then that's different. Tests results would surely not be inside info as at that point it's not material as such.

Waterproofed tent fabric needs to have good tensile strength, flexibility, resistance to pollutants, resistance to splitting or tearing, resistance to degradation.

Surely an area where Nanene could meet a need.

Tents, marquees, awnings, tarpaulins, truck side-curtains, tonneau covers & car hoods, groundsheets, tailored covers. For military, agricultural, industrial, transport, mountaineering and leisure uses.

I am familiar with some of the suppliers, but must confess I don't know who actually makes (and develops) the fabrics that are supplied to those who make the tents etc. worldwide.

EDIT: I see Tencate has just been taken over by Toray Industries:
"Materials can change our lives.
Possibilities, turning seawater into drinking water, reinforcing genetic analysis for medical breakthroughs, furthering the evolution of eco-cars, producing plant-based functional clothing, extending the shelf life of food for reduced waste, and creating a world where everyone can achieve their personal best.
Materials have the power to do all of this and more, because materials make our modern world.
The world is full of possibilities and our materials can change the world, which we will never stop believing.."

"How would graphene improve clothing?"

Printed circuits? Temp./ heart-rate measurement? Heated ski boots? Somewhere there's quite a lot of info on the previous board.
