Interesting reading today.
I know that I am a newcomer to investing and that probably makes me good fodder for the shorters I am still struggling to understand a few things but I will get there in time.
I understand the idea of going long and betting on the success of a company but going short and attempting to undermine and destabilise a company in the process baffles me.especially a home grown company. In simple terms I would not rubbish the local butcher if his produce was first class in order just to have a few extra pounds in the bank.
Like I say I am new to the whole thing so please forgive my naivety.

If flexenable use our graphinks would they have to go through ArrowGreen tech, who have worldwide exclusive marketing rights, IIRC?

Looks like the voting is over as it says "Final Results". I would have voted Nike, who manufacture the Turkey national team and replica kits ;-)

FIA asks potential F1 tyre suppliers to suggest post-2019 changes

2020 F1 season Posted on
3rd August 2018

The FIA has told manufacturers interested in becoming Formula 1’s tyre supplier after 2019 they may suggest changes to its performance targets.

Tyre manufacturers were invited last month to submit tenders to become F1’s official tyre supplier from 2020 to 2023, a role Pirelli has held since 2011.

In a letter sent today the FIA advised interested parties the tender has been “modified for clarification purposes.”
While there has been no change in the requirement for the new manufacturer to supply rubber for 13-inch wheels in 2020 and 18-inch wheels from 2021, the FIA said it will to consider changes to the “target letter”. These targets, now referred to as “objectives” in the tender, set goals for performance and degradation rates.

“We would draw your attention to the fact that interested bidders are invited to detail in their bid their approach/possible alternative to the FIA requirements and/or to the objectives referred to in the target letter,” the FIA added.

The objectives are intended primarily for “improvement of the show” but also to improve drive-ability, achieve high performance and ensure the tyres work in a broad range of operating conditions.

The revised tender states the FIA “reserves the right to alter the parameters of this document, but commits to consult with the provider before issuing a new set of parameters.”

Former F1 tyre supplier Michelin previously expressed interest in the tender but told RaceFans last month it is “not interested in only the show” and believes there should be a “technical challenge.”

Another change in the tender stipulates the tyre suppliers will produce a maximum of “four different compounds” from 2020. Pirelli currently produces seven dry-weather compounds, but intends to reduce that to six next year.

To see if Marko is still in the office there or rented it out to holidaymakers.

Cellulose has been used commercially for years often in derivatized forms such as carboxymethyl cellulose CMC and cellulose acetate. The use in films has been limited due to their poor barrier characteristics. Adding Graphene/Graphene oxide doubles the strength and produces a good gas barrier.

A plastic bottle desposit return system works well in germany. I'm pretty sure neill said in a recent podcast, vrs already have produced a +nanene plastic bottle? Stand corrected otherwise. But If so, looks ready made for such a returns system to be rolled out in the uk? Aimo. Best ellis

From the CIWM article: '“If recycling is to be effective it also requires materials in bulk, by adopting these varied alternatives it will become a problem for recyclers to even sort, so a consistent approach to materials we specify is very much needed now.' That means £VRS needs to get in here first, sorting productin of major batches of standardised HDPE or polypropylene. I do hope they're already on the case and would appreciate a question to Neill on the next podcast. I suspect a hefty injection of capital into a partnership for that as 3T pa won't be nearly enough.

As we all know reuse is much better than recycling so I'd rather see nanene used to make reusable, returnable-for-a-depost packaging.

I've been waiting for my hernia op so long it may be that nanene is in medical meshes by the time I get seen to - would be nice to get a 'nanene inside' tattoo!

But I am interested to find out more about whether nanene in biocellulose is a viable alternative. Superg1 have you done any research? Ta, Joules.

It doesn't need any news to go to £2. Supply and demand will sort that out.

I'd be thinking 2 of those 3 by that date.

Miton were on about 4 mill heading into July and of they had kept going at the same rate then they should be under 2 mill.

I see they took a slice of trackwise so that's where some of the Miton cash went from the microcap trust fund.

Well, the "Narey "toe poke"" has to be David Narey's brilliant goal for Scotland against Brazil in the 1982 World Cup, infamously described by Jimmy Hill as a toe poke. Looks like pcjoe was lucky enough to be there.

not the faintest clue what this is about. Any chance of a translation? Maybe I ought to get out more.

At least you were there & enjoyed SG - was across in 82 for the Narey "toe poke" in Seville - great times had by the original TA back in the day - not so good since & no end of talent drought in site at the mo. - The Croats & Belgians showed it can be done though for smaller Co.s

Oh & if graphene launch was a competition - VRS would be France!

Nanene sales announced in RNSs (have I missed any)

16-11-29 Significant Graphene Order

Versarien has now received an order with a value of over £100,000 for graphene in the form of Few Layer Graphene Nano Platelets ("GNPs") from a European commercial customer, in conjunction with the NGI. This high quality graphene will be certified by the NGI and Versarien will be handling the dispersion of the GNPs into the resin to be used by the customer. The resin will be provided by the customer free of charge and will be returned to the customer in Europe once mixed with Versarien's GNPs.

17-09-19 Significant Tender Win

Versarien will be supplying up to 1.2 kilograms of graphene in a variety of forms, including the Company's proprietary brand, Nanene, to the CPI.

18-04-16 Graphene Supply to Major Tyre Producer

Versarien will initially be providing 500g of Nanene for testing purposes, to explore the benefits of adding graphene to tyres supplied to the automotive sector. If successful, further orders would be expected.

18-07-02 Chinese Graphene Order

In addition to these relationships, the Company is pleased to report that it has received its first small initial order for Nanene graphene nano platelets from a Chinese automotive battery manufacturer for their technical evaluation.

I see walkers under pressure re plastic crisp packets, Unrecyclable and to be phased out 2025. They are investigating 'plant based' and other alternatives. So if technically possible, Why not cellulose and +nanene; a 2D eco packaging solution to 3D plastic pollution. The potential of graphene is tremendous, aimo. Best ellis
