24/7/2018 20:21 | axotyl - I too am planning to cancel my subscription when it is due for renewal as the lack of any mention of VRS was a reason. Also realising as SG1 has mentioned time over time that there is no substitute for digging deeper as an individual. There is now finally a view mentioned as follows:Comparatives are essentially meaningless, given that the limited broker coverage now seems woefully out of perspective given the exponential rise in the share price since the third quarter of 2017. Versarien's commercial model remains in its infancy, so the rate of cash-burn is central to investors' considerations. Around £2.9m was successfully raised last November, although an operating cash outflow of £1.9m suggests that unless operating expenses start to fall substantially as a proportion of revenue, the group will need to increase borrowings, or tap the market again at some point in 2019. One to watch hold. | redstone64

24/7/2018 20:04 | The only research that ever matters is your own. That research shouldn't include relying on the opinion or research of others. Facts are out there to research and digest, once done fiction is easy to spot. AIM companies are full of unskilled salesman trying to pitch for cash to service a very comfortable and often healthy lifestyle, hence it attracts crooks and conmen to prosper by fraud. Any old BS will do in a presentation to get cash from funds. Occasionally a genuine business pops up and in this case it's a stunning opportunity called Versarien. Shameful really that crooks and conmen on the bear side seek to trash a fantastic team and company trying to make a huge difference for investors and others. Nothing they can do can stop the train, it will keep rolling on and trying it's best to deliver the goods. The potential bullet train of the AIM, not a train wreck. A UK business working to make a difference. | ![]() superg1
24/7/2018 19:31 | In aviation, weight is everything, and that means huge fuel costs. Most passenger airlines carry enough fuel not only to support the weight of the aircraft and passengers, but also the weight of the fuel itself. So it's no surprise that people like Sir Richard Branson think that all aircraft will be constructed from super-light graphene within a decade. Much lighter and much stronger than the carbon fibre composites presently used, graphene has been attracting the attentions of Airbus, which is a member of the Graphene Flagship research group, and held a symposium on graphene innovations last year. | 66sequoia

24/7/2018 19:19 | I cancelled my sub. to Investors Chronicle a couple of months ago, but this came up this evening: Maybe someone with a current sub. could quote the full article? It's the first mention in IC that I've seen. This was the intro: "Versarien (VRS) has seen a tenfold increase in its share price, peak to trough, over the past 12 months, a reflection of the blue-sky potential of its proprietary graphene technologies. However, the initial sell-off on results day, followed by rapid retracement, suggests investors may need to stomach a certain amount of volatility as the engineering materials group expands the range of commercial applications for its products". | ![]() axotyl

24/7/2018 18:37 | Lucky - IIs live in fear of buying or selling a large position in one go and then having the market move against them leaving them looking like fools. 24/7/2018 18:12 | 772 -- I agree - China valuation of IP has no direct connection with market capitalisation. More to do with the first big order from whatever direction, indicating status. That will doubtless bump up the share price and market cap anyway, but that's coincidental. ;-) If they wait too long before offering Versarien attractive terms, they risk having to pay even more once the avalanche of orders occurs. | ![]() grabster
24/7/2018 17:56 | Lucky The spread was 122-126 then so it looks like a buy. Perhaps stock going from Singer to a fund. If we ignore the prices at the time out could be the stock `Singer picked up and as we know it gets reported once it's been sold. | ![]() superg1

24/7/2018 17:45 | 772 - good point. The question is is the market accurately valuing our IP and product. How do you value potential. If we doubled our MC would our IP have also doubled in value.
