re the Sb new rules.

This made me smile and about sums it up.

14,605 replies were submitted via this website during the consultation period – with 98.1% against ESMA’s proposals.

I was in the 1.9% agreeing with it. Now you know why some have sweaty palms.

The win for voters

'A 50% close-out rule will now apply on an account basis, rather than on a position-by-position basis..'

Seems fair enough.

BUT

'However, ESMA has chosen to disregard the weight of feeling against the proposed leverage restrictions. As a result, minimum margins on all CFD and spread betting markets will increase across the industry.'

So thumbs up for that that helps limit to amount of leverage those guys have to try and F about with positions and post to support their agenda.

It seems to me that the purpose of today's podcast was to redo the ones from last week. Justin and Neill share a lovely enthusiasm that could not be replicated by the presenter last week.

grabster - perversely (and just IMO), I think the larger the collab partner is the greater the chance the collab will result in orders. My reasoning is:

1/ Big companies move slowly and carefully, and all the big companies (with the possible exception of apparels, which seems to have come together in only a few weeks) will have done DD to a greater or lesser extent: so they probably wouldn't have entered into a collab agreement (with concomitant commitment of people, time and money) unless they thought there was a real need they had to address;

2/ The larger the collab partner the more product lines they will have, so the greater the chance that nanene will be a good fit for one or more of them;

The downside is that the larger the collab the longer it's likely to take for the order to arrive.

All just my own opinion, of course...

VRS - "core team with a massive family" with unprecedented links to expertise and government backing.

"Go out there if you can find a company with so many links and on track to deliver certified graphene"

Doomsday soothsayers reduced to clutching at straws. Trying understand why they're spending so much time to look for negatives and and not taking a balanced view; perhaps they might be worried shorters, I dare say...

Very happy, pleased and comfortable to be a long term VRS shareholder.

Not only the 3t DaveMac, the US interest as rns'd and many other things I'm sure, I do suspect it is time limited and so much to remember in a short time!

If only 2 or 3 of the 24 China connections come to anything, Versarien is likely to take off, bigtime. If only 2 or 3 of the 13 announced commercial collaborations come to fruition, Versarien is likely to see a very rapid doubling or trebling of its share price.

With this level of interest and involvement, Versarien can easily accommodate 20 of the China opportunities coming to nothing, and 10 of the announced collaborations coming to nothing, and still be more than OK.

Over the coming weeks and months there is every likelihood that the China connections will continue to grow in number, and that the announced commercial collaborations will also increase in number. And the number that need to succeed will stay the same - so any additional success beyond that 2-to-3 level in one category or the other or in both, is a bonus that merely ensures even greater success.

That's quite a cushion.
Critics are struggling to keep up - attacking one aspect whilst missing several others. Swamped by news and more news.

Versarien has already launched Nanene, Hexotene, and Graphinks - with numerous other commercially desirable products on the way.

Compare this to investment in AIM-listed companies where their future prospects depend on one product, or one mine.

So we have a reading of the financials which taken with recent news all mixes together to make the share price indeterminate for awhile - in my h. opinion. So 130 is as good a parking place as any for a day or two.It will be so much higher in weeks, months years to come.A poster asked what it felt like to be an early Apple investor. Not so good might be the answer. I recall unpacking a grey import of an Apple Mac in 1984 or so.I think Microsoft floated that year and until 2000 or so it was MSFTs show. Apple went from 57 cents in 1984 to just shy of 3 dollars in that time . About the uplift VRS has done since the year started .However after 2000 the Apple Graph goes "bonkers" .So the question is have we reached the bonkers stage? I think so.it feels ..... hugely promising, £6 per billion Marcap. So the answer might be that: " hugely promising with a light covering of nerves?"

Note the bit about investors actively involved on link ups.

So some investors know who they are talking too and how they are working with because they provided some introductions.

I can name one or two myself and there are some interesting names and individuals that have linked up with VRS.

It will become clear as the weeks go by.

All but one or two know about it I suspect.

No I don't think it works like that. As you can see with Neill and Justin it just spills out.

If that was the case why would VRS put questions to the Vox guy like this.

"Have you been surprised by the results"

The stand it last week was a right mug, he asked some really stupid questions, none of which will have been provided by VRS.

I did note the China bit, that sounded intersecting. Most of the 24 seem to have arrived in the last 6-8 weeks by what was said and many due to Matt Walker.

We know w few weeks back about Shenzeng province and the subsequent visit to Silk ventures at Canary Wharf (I have the drone footage).

'SILK Ventures is an operationally-focused cross-border investment firm based in London and Shenzhen.
SILK seeks to invest in technology companies aiming to expand into and out of China.
Strategically partnered with SASAC (Shenzhen), governments and a network of corporations, SILK Ventures builds the tech Silk Road to the world’s most exciting market – China.'

I've tried hard to keep a lid on China but it's starting to become obvious why they are so excited.

With so many taking an active interest no wonder they want to tread carefully with Shandong who are now just 1 of 24.

Dave

All PR outlets be it proactive investors or other sites like directors talk are paid for to allow the communication between the company and investors.

Far easier than answering 100's of emails over and over again on the same topics.

One thing I think we *can* be sure of - MW will want the China deal in place by the time his secondment ends in 11 months. And if I read the man right from our Twitter exchanges he'll want to do China and a lot more, maybe America, Korea or Japan too...

The 3T machines have been on standby order for some time I believe so we are ready to scale up quickly when needed. I think it was in response to the growing number of enquiries and collaborations so that we can backup our promises with delivery. I believe (I think it was tweeted a few months ago by NR) because they have been ordered they can be delivered and then readied/built/modified at VRS with a minimum lead time of just a few weeks. If we hadn't done this then a big order could have embarrassed us if we weren't ready

Dave if you want questions answered on the podcast you can contact Justin and ask. Others have done so in the past and had their questions covered where appropriate.
