Just looking around the factory again and it could do with some changes. Orange is a nice colour and should be incorporated into the exterior decor and too many windows, I see what they mean about protecting the IP now ;) , could do with some curtains too to keep out prying eyes.

Re: sb and new rules: well I've just spent over half an hour with the guy from IG trying to explain the changes in guaranteed stopped positions to me - totally unsuccessfully.

In the end he said can you hold on a minute or two. He then came back and said look at your balances, see where it says 'available funds' (>£18k), the rules won't make any difference to you (he had looked at all my positions and margin requirements) as long as that available figure stays above zero.

So - there you have it BUT please don't ask me to explain it.

Suffice to say I am completely covered on my VRS positions (and all my other ones too for that matter.

Sigh of relief. Spike

Super, yes margins remain the same on existing positions but should the shorters wish to 'average up' from next Monday they will have to find a minimum of 20% margin rather than 7.5% with IG, but still run the risk of losing everything with the new automatic close rule. They, the shorters, could be in whole lot of trouble come Friday afternoon if we get more good news this week. They will have to make the decision on depositing a ton load more cash into their accounts, close the position themselves or possibly watch it get force closed on Monday!

Do spread-betters who declare as professional traders have to pay tax on their trading profits?

Yes lucky I did spot L and G. I imagine they are exiting in full so perhaps 800k top 900k to go yet with little buying.

Perhaps in to mid 30's before it bottoms out judging by the L&G selling so far.

If one or two of the Chinese deals come to fruition (and I don't think there is much doubt about that) then I can't see why all of them won't. We know how competitive they are, none of them will want to miss the boat if they know others are signing.

I think the time being taken is simply about getting the right deal drawn up which not only all 24 of the Chinese contacts will sign but also the Koreans, Japanese etc, etc...

O/T It is probably Legal and General selling right out on HAYD. To be fair to Ray he has tried hard and it is a little bit sad that they have chosen to move him from the CEO role, it is as if they want to distance the company from him and graphene.

Don't know if that resin ever went back to the supplier but it was the start of the decline I think?

Lucky

That's probably a supply to the MMs from a fund as singer are still there.

Being collected by the new funds I suspect.

"Podcast demonstrates that China deals are going to kick some serious ass"

Oh I certainly hope so. One question in my mind is whether multiple partners will arrive at once as a big bang, or whether they'll arrive one at a time. Of course we have no idea of the shape of the discussions, so not a clue...

As Neill said in the podcast: "Our investors actually help us. They are the ones who are saying 'Talk to this guy in Airbus, talk to this person here, talk to this person there.' That kind of sentiment is unusual on the Stock Market and so we're building a family."

Very proud to be a member of such a family!

IG Index themselves (IGG) will presumably take a hit, as a lot of spreadbetters will decide that the restricted leverage, and the amount that might have to be stored as unused cash to underwrite open positions that are struggling, makes it not with bothering.

We are all gamblers for sure but some have a healthier risk averse attitude than others by selling when they feel uncomfortable . However, there are a considerable amount of people with gambling addictions and it will hopefully make them stop and think.
