Interesting 5.53 18 million trade at the close. Someone thinks there may be a counter offer as there is no other reason to make that trade.

Nobody seems to use guaranteed stops around here long or short. Why is that?

Should just flush the company down the toilet and let investors move on to something worth buying

I just think looking at the whole project overall, the amount that has been invested generally and looking at the site, which is by the way phenomenal, I just can’t believe sxx can sell out at 5.5p. Just ridiculous. There has to be a better offer or at least a better solution.

S'posed to be good SALTSj to help plants grow big time. Will be needed to replace the billions of tons of carbon being unsuccessfully 'captured'(though we don't get to see the black stuff we should be knee deep in), cos plants need CO2 even more. It's only when politicians personally start going hungry that the doh penny drops and start listening to sense instead of the noisiest chatter. The world is getting greener (more plants growing) because were going through an era of increased CO2 levels again, probably cos we're nearer the sun that warms us and releases more CLEAN CO2 and vapour from the oceans.

Surprised that the Chinese or US or Canadians haven't swooped in with a much better offer. High quality natural/national asset has to be developed!

Yes it could Morti1 but it is probably around 100/1.I still hold as you never know and the markets are volatile although today is all positive.Sad to see that this one is a takeover but very pleased that the deal is great for the local economy. On that point should mention that London is in the north for me given the number of local investors.

If an offer for a stock has been accepted, is there still a possibility for a counter offer? Not sure how this works. In other words, should I still hold on until April with sxx when the deal is expected to go through or just sell at this current price and move on? Bottoms line, can a counter offer still go through at this stage?

Well looking at things I actually think it may get a little messy for CF with all these discoloures, which I thought would never materialise. Good, hope he suffers.

"Partnering with local institutions and businesses on work to be completed for the Project is a core tenet of our Corporate and Social Governance policy and, as always, we have been impressed by the high quality of potential candidates presented to us for this work.

"The Feasibility Study continues to progress well, with more news flow expected in the coming weeks and months in the lead up to its release to the market. We look forward to continuing to keep the market updated with various important milestones for 2020 as we move closer to our goal of becoming a low cost producer of potash."

So everyone is losing the will to fight? Clearly Brexit is now not about the custodianship of our own mineral resources? We totally squandered our oil and gas reserves to zero effect. The nation is in terrible debt and has minimal energy resources remaining. Observe how Norway built a huge sovereign wealth fund.

We have all seen Boris’s frightening lack of action regarding Corona Virus, look at the American CDC website! The Presidential Proclamation on the potential pandemic also.

People of Yorkshire now faced with 100 plus years watching helplessly as their wealth is appropriated. Yes the jobs have significant value but only a tiny fraction of what this project is worth! Yorkshire men who including my own ancestors gave up their health to produce energy for this island.

You all know what should be done....

One thing I forgot to mention in post 46785 above, which was a look at the failings in the earliest stages of the project, was that the talk about the government guarantee
also looked flawed, I was convinced, right from the Defined Feasibility Study, iirc.

I believe the DFS and a few other documents around that time tried to show a separation between the financing of the high risk shafts by stage 1 financing, and the remaining works by stage two debt, which as explained above could not work. The Gov guarantee discussions were clearly identified, iirc, as relying on that same flawed principle, ie. the guarantee was expected to be provided for the lower risk works, but the higher risk works were clearly going to be still going full steam, with the much higher risk of failure that was acknowledged in the DFS, and those shaft works carried the risk of failure which would have stuffed the stage 2 financed work and consequently "called" the government guarantee.

It's a scam from start to finish all orchestrated by greed. Leeds folk raised £9m to replace Ark Royal in a week in 1942. Just saying.
