I see FTC the same as CIR: a turnaround situation where the company has changed significantly and the price is down due to institutional selling. Getting rid of antennas mean FTC is now lean and focussed. The Dixon’s and Newlands own so much that they only way they can realise value is through a takeover. I believe that;s what will happen, at the 20-30p level, at some time this year. Otherwise I see no reason why a family with £3m in a small AIM company would increase their shareholding significantly.
Not really, mad foetus, you should start thinking more in terms of FTC's ongoing profitability minus the losses from the division that has just been sold, and then put that on a PER of 20 so as to reflect the obviously above average growth prospects . Think you will find that 20p would appear to be a fair price, and that is without building in a premium for a possible takeover ( more than a possibility in my view, given that the Board control such a small percentage of the share capital ). OK, Legals are selling down, but do not assume that they know more than the rest of us, I suspect that their selling is the result of a new non micro cap exposure approach, and therein lies the opportunity for us private investors who are not hamstrung by Trustees's meetings and the constant need to appear to have been wise ( after the event ! )
