23/10/2023 11:29 | Aviva turnaround is building value, says Deutsche Bank Insurer Aviva (AV) is ‘getting on with it’, says Deutsche Bank, believing that the company’s turnaround is building value in the stock Analyst Rhea Shah reiterated her ‘buy’ recommendation and increased the target price from 490p to 495p on the Citywire Elite Companies AA-rated stock, which fell 1.6% to 398.6p in a down market on Friday. Shah noted that shares gained 10% earlier in October when there was news that a foreign buyer was interested in the insurer and, while ‘there may not have been much to the news flow’, the shares have not lost the improvement. ‘This is perhaps a recognition by the market that there is value to the group’s four-year turnaround, aided by management’s recent delivery and ongoing strategic and operational ambitions over the long-term,’ the analyst noted. Shah said that the shares are trading on an ‘attractive 13% free cashflow yield’ and the ‘majority of this can be returned to shareholders via a sustainable total capital return yield of 11.4% in 2024’. | ![]() mondex | |
