What's up

I too would be hissed off but to me facts as stand are

Lgen on this move down hit a low of 208 ?
Av. similar move down hit a low of 167 ?

Bid rumours sent av. Up to 427 and those same rumours are keeping it above what to me as it stands a more reasonable and sustainable level of 375/380

I don t have the same belief in your beloved Amanda and I still think that until the full ramifications of the natural disasters that have taken place in the Canadian provinces have been disclosed that I will start taking Aviva seriously as to investing again

Cash in hand and the one man band 'suits me sir'

Good luck with your pursuits

Company seems to be raking it in which should be illustrated in next results. Probably why the CEO sent the hopeful acquirer away with a flea in their ear. No doubt they will return with a better offer but I’m not fussed either way.

The share price will grow naturally and the dividends are just superb.

Best company on FTSE in my opinion and the market has finally woken up to this. Next few months will be interesting. Who in their right mind would be on the sidelines?

More than happy to keep holding here for the rock solid divi if as it seems the takeover talk goes away now.

The Director buy does bode well for the next trading update and I will add on any dip.

Good luck all 👍🏻

Sound familiar?

Halfords shares surge amid takeover speculation
Bike retailer Halfords has enjoyed a 15pc jump in its share price this afternoon amid takeover speculation.

Its stock leapt as much as 19pc after it was mentioned in a report by “BetavilleR21;.

It said there is speculation that a 270p per share offer was rejected.

As an independent non-exec he probably wouldn't have been informed about any informal approach. Of course any credible formal approach would need an RNS. I think any sort of bid near term is unlikely now though.

Still the speculation has at least lifted the share price a bit and that appears to be sticking
