02/11/2023 12:37 | I'm out, I don't like the general lack of clarity here. | my retirement fund
01/11/2023 15:15 | Note also the footnote .."Following the above issue of Warrants, the number of Warrants in issue to staff is 7,510,000. There are also 5,857,408 Bondholder listed warrants (under code: AVAW.L). Assuming full exercise of all staff and Bondholder warrants this equates to 15.87 % of the Company's enlarged share capital. For transparency the Company intends to merge these two classes of securities prior to the end of 2023, which will reduce the total number of warrants in issue.. Not sure why this would reduce the total warrants, but signs of a general corporate tidy-up / simplification are always welcome, IMO. ATB | extrader
01/11/2023 13:26 | And the warrant sale by Jeff today. Notice the price has just trended up despite this ~£375k sale on the highly illiquid market for AVAP. I would hazard a guess Rangeley Capital was the buyer and Jeff providing them liquidity. | a_game
01/11/2023 11:33 | This is indeed an interest development: WARRANT GRANT AND DIRECTORS' DEALING Avation PLC (LSE: AVAP), the commercial passenger aircraft leasing company advises that 485,000 share warrants have been granted to directors and other employees of the Company as set out below. The grant of warrants is pursuant to the authorities and powers given by shareholders at the Company's last annual general meeting. The warrants have been granted subject to the Company's Remuneration Policy as long-term incentives. The warrants were granted by the board at an exercise price of 125.50 pence per share, and each warrant grant is on terms that one third of the warrants will vest at the end of each of the first three years from the date of grant but subject always to clawback under the terms of the Company's Remuneration Policy. The warrants are otherwise granted on customary terms for employee share remuneration. | my retirement fund
30/10/2023 16:44 | That was a fast sale. No mention of price, though ? | my retirement fund
25/10/2023 12:22 | So Jeffries have continued to pick up shares since their major purchase, but apparently not from Oceanwood who have not declared going below 3% (from their current 3.61%). It would be interesting to know where these shares are coming from and how far Jeffries will go. I wouldn't be surprised if we make the £1.40/£1.50 area in the next few weeks, which is still of course very cheap, but a circa 100% paper profit in short order for Jeffries initial stake. | bdbd11

19/10/2023 08:53 | Have you got a link please catsick? I have tried searching using "raper capital" without success. | argylerich
19/10/2023 07:08 | Interesting to see the new buyer is working with Jeremy Raper , he for some strange reason holds a bunch of the same Asian names I have held and lives just round the corner from were I did in Tokyo, he seems to have a good handle on small cap value plays and special situations. Worth following raper capital on Twitter or x | catsick
10/10/2023 12:33 | I agree, but I was just commenting on yesterday's rise. It seems every time something small in the sector happens, a raft of buyers suddenly wake up and realise there's a load of underpriced aircraft leasing companies trading far below book, they wake up for a few hours but then go back to sleep. | my retirement fund
09/10/2023 18:14 | Hi MRF, I'm not sure how much read-across there is : surely the A380 is a very special beast, aimed at a very different sector of the market? The new investor's investment criteria -'mispriced securities with limited fundamental downside' - are a lot more compelling, to my mind! ATB | extrader
09/10/2023 17:17 | Nice to see some positive momentum for a change, presumably on the back of Doric Nimrod A380 news | my retirement fund
03/10/2023 11:26 | Well looks like a couple of hedge funds bought the stake. Rangley says they " invest in mispriced securities with limited fundamental downside. Let's see what they plan to ask the board to do!! | harrogate
02/10/2023 08:03 | Let's hope it was a decent party, shareprice overhang problem done | my retirement fund
02/10/2023 07:06 | When do we get the rns on the new holder ? | catsick
01/10/2023 02:48 | Very interesting indeed, so a 20% discount to buy from a closing down fund that has to sell and would in no way be able to exit that size in any reasonable timeframe without pushing the price down 50% or more, I think this will turn out to be a very savvy buy indeed, the best possible scenario is this was brokered by jeff to an industry buyer who now has a nice stake and wants to help expand the business... could turn out to be an excellent catalyst | catsick

29/9/2023 16:35 | Oceanwood had 16.1m, per stockopedia. A quick search brought up this : hxxps://www.pionline Seems it's closing down, and may be in a hurry.... Oceanwood Capital Management's Deputy CIO Julian Garcia Woods is striking out on his own, and the hedge fund he co-managed with founder Christopher Gate is shutting down. Oceanwood's Opportunities Fund gained about 2% through July this year after losing 8% in 2022. Mr. Woods, who has been at Oceanwood since 2007, is taking a team from the firm and plans to launch CoreLane Capital Management early next year, according to Andrew Baker, head of business development at the London-based company. Oceanwood will return capital to investors while Mr. Gate, 59, is retiring, he said. Somebody got a bargain. With results out of the way, maybe even Jeff. ATB | extrader
29/9/2023 16:17 | at 79p. 20% of the company. Only Oceanwood Capital (a very long term holder) had that many shares. Interesting to see the rns holding announcements. | bdbd11

29/9/2023 13:06 | Indeed MRF... but one can see why the UK investor domain makes companies go elsewhere these days. Endemic. | sogoesit
