Really the point that I am making is aa bit too buried, Pre-preparation this year is going to take longer and start earlier, surely that is a given, But, none of the contractors are likely to begin any of the works required until they can see that they are going to be paid, a "we are in talks with a sponsor" doesn`t cut it, certainty is required well before the end of Q4, for them to commit in time.

IMHO

Glad to hear you've covered bad g. It's becoming a bit of a yo-yo this share. I've bought another 40k this a.m. We're coming to the end of that down move on the chart. It's proved a little more sticky than I thought it would but with the sorts of moves we've seen the past few days, it won't take much to emerge from it altogether.

An RNS stating they've ordered some long lead items would get the market buying imo.
edited to add no longer short for now at least.

It’s neither a good point nor anything to get flustered about.

From the LPoO....

15 Dec - 16 Jan. Prepack then construct Ice Road and Ice Drillpad to Talitha A then continue construction to Theta West #1 location

News required to give us something to chat about.

Hi dan de lion - I see the thought process behind your post #19806. A couple of thoughts in response.

1) The big rig *might* be used to prep Talitha #A prior to moving on to the Theta West pad? That would give the construction crew an "extra" week or so when they can use the Talitha pad as a staging post when constructing the ice road out to Theta West.

2) Theta West TD is shallower than Talitha #A. Thus, all things being equal, less time *ought* to be required for drilling Theta West-1.

As I said, I follow the point you're making. Just a couple of extra variables to consider which perhaps means that the timetable this year is not quite a lfl v's last season.

I reckon if PANR want to achieve the same sort of `spud` date as last year, then because of the extra length of the ice road, they will need to start up to 10 days earlier than last year on the build, last year ice road build started around 28th/ 29th Dec!

Yesterdays low volume rise becoming a distant memory, rejected by the channel and the 50dsma.
With oil coming off again will need some strong action from the bulls to recover past resistance now imo.

It looks like 1 percent sold but we can’t account for the reporting compliance , ie the number of days for reporting to take place. So there’s every chance much more was reduced during that period .

Pulling back after being rejected by the 50 again yesterday.

Well that clears it up that it wasn’t Farallon providing the volume over the past few weeks. Only another 7m sold.

Goldman Sachs is still bullish on oil and sees the massive move lower from the past few days as excessive and equal to the market pricing in a “mammoth”; drop in demand over the next few months.

“To put this into context, this would represent any of these extreme outcomes: (1) not a single plane flying around the world for three months, or (2) half as intense as the 2Q20 global lockdown, or (3) a world even worst-off than before vaccinations,” Damien Courvalin, Head of Energy Research & Senior Commodity Strategist at Goldman Sachs, wrote in a note..

Waterpolo - what an appropriate moniker for someone who is clearly paddling fast and furious below the surface, but who is beginning to realise that the game is up!

My view now is that most likely outcome is farm out. I assume if it wasn’t on the cards they would have done a placing already. Possible they wanted to wait for relevant approvals before pulling the trigger on either option but that would leave a very narrow window for a placing. So farmout the expectation and placing the fallback.
