29/3/2008 11:16 | a very thin market if the sale in dorking goes through and cash recieved these will be the nearest thing to a no brainer. proceeds would clear short term borrowings assuming liverpool property stays in the books at 11m these would have an nav of well north of a tenner and very low mid term debt. | bisiboy

22/2/2008 13:53 | Haven't been following this lately - sold out previously, but am thinking of getting aboard again, but property prices/rents may come down more with adverse affects? What's this about options on 29th Feb - trying to catch up fast on events & clearly an approach by Parkwood was fended off. Putting personalities to one side, was this a good thing ?? 20/1/2008 21:35 | LONDON, January 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Parkwood Property Investments LLP ("Parkwood") announces the conditional sale of its 29 per cent shareholding in Gresham House plc ("Gresham"). As a result, Parkwood will not be voting at the EGM on Monday 21 January 2008. Derek Lucie-Smith, Partner of Parkwood, said: "After discussions with shareholders it became clear that the current Gresham Board had a legacy of institutional support and we would not be successful in securing the full backing of all shareholders. We believe that it is in the best interests of the company to have a Board that is free from inherent conflict, so when approached by a third party to acquire our entire equity interest at a full and fair price we decided to sell. We wish Gresham every success in the future." | rambutan2
28/12/2007 14:52 | Has anyone read the promo fluff done by Parkwood in The Times on Maxted yesterday - do we really want to let a man who delights in killing wild animals take over Gresham - its abhorrent??? The piece clearly demonstrates he doesn't give a monkies about shareholders - he's only driven by his own self interest. I'm amazed though the journalist didn't pick up on the fact - I posted earlier this year how Maxted and Wingate ran Chesterfield into the ground turning a £5.8m profit one year into a £12.7m loss the next. | 69saunders
17/12/2007 20:08 | you can't knock parkwoods timing can you with christmas just around the corner and the mkts having all sorts of problems they could quite easily gain control here anyone seen any paperwork yet? | ntv

14/12/2007 09:01 | NTV, The dragons were just seriously p*ssed that someone had beaten them at their own game. Well done to Gresham, I say. On more serious matters - had to laugh at Parkwood's latest words of wisdom on Speke - as they continue to do their best to "speak" down the whole price of the plot... strange that Maxted, Lucie et al should want to do that, hey!! Do they honestly think we can't see what is going on hear or do they all take us for a load of old chumps? | 69saunders
11/12/2007 11:24 | also making an indent in the light bulb would not allow bulb to move | ntv
11/12/2007 11:22 | anyone see dragons den last night interesting guy on there witha novel way to fit a light bulb using magnets they did't like the fact that ghe already had a stake needs modifying before they are able to mkt though would really useful for spot lights and things like that and really good for old people who struggle with changing light bulbs and in kitchens where changinging lights bulbs can be a problem with the steam one of the dragons suggested four magnets instead of two but i wonder wether a single magnet all the way round would be better | ntv

07/12/2007 11:20 | bisiboy, the thin end of nothing. NTV, spot on - either they make a sensible offer or they are going to steal the assets from right under our nose. Also don't like the fact that Parkwood have waited until December to throw this on us - we all know the proxy forms are going to get held up in the post. Has anyone received their's yet or have they not gone out??? | 69saunders
