from what i can work out the share portfolio has helped increase nett assets by around 65p so far this year so this would suggest total nett assets are approx 967p so we are slowing closing in on the magic £10 price
this is mainly been helped by the significant increase in the share prices of space and people and hallin marine

interesting to note that rebuilt freehold goes onto the rental mkt in early july
be interesting to see whether they receive an offer for it as an out right sale or how quickly they find a tennant
one thing was they wouldn't tell me the sort of figure they expexted a tennant to pay
so it will be surprise and hopefully a pleasant one

also potential flotation of a couple of companies in the next 6 months
one specifally comes to mind is nut and bolt company
this company has designed a nut and bolt that won't come loose and appears not to be affected by temperature change
specific uses include coach and lorry wheels but more importantly railtracks

Gresham house has a past history of selling property an, and quite substanial amounts and returning cash to shareholders
and i think this might be what is on the cards

parkwood supported the resolution to buy back shares
they(Gresham house) cannot buy back any currently without buying from parkwood so this would suggest imho that there is a deal in the offering which could involve the sale of part or all the property assets of the company

part of the sale proceeds then going to buyback all the shares held by parkwood
now just a question of time i suppose

as for the 29% shareholder i am not sure why he is here
the guys in charge seem to have substanial property interests in the uk and europe so why are they here?
still think they might bid

change of use to retail at speke could be an interesting one over the next few years
with a five yr max tennancy agreement being signed i suggest that gives you an idea when they plan to start building
guess that will at least double current valuation of that site
which is valued at around £9m plus also their JV project next which has no value but is a 11 acre site !

about to sign agreement for land in dorking for sale for building land
this will hopefully bring in some £8m plus in cash but will lead to a loss in rental income of £250k per annum

speke has lost one tennant for £65k per annum but appears to have a new one for the same amount plus they are close to adding an extra £68k in rental income which is good news

serious progress from space and people has lifted nett assets a few more pence
prospects have also improved at hms which has led to a steady build up in the share price since december
sal share price has doubled since the year end
so the stake is now worth around £2m plus

when i went to the agm for ghe last year i asked the directors about the site in dorking
they were so vague about it
i was told it was about 4 to 6 acres
why be so vague it was as if they didn't really want to tell me anything about the company itself
guess this all stems from the bid that never was and the aguments with the rowe trust
which eventually sold a large chunk of shares to the new 29.% sahreholder
tomorrow we find out how active he is
i can' how the special resolutions can work unless they are going to buy a large chunk of shares from the large shareholder

Thanks for info.See they just issued shares at 8Ac so they are doing ok.Lots of metal/diamonds in ground.Mining and selling it,something else.Latham I hold and have done so for 10yrs or so.Super chart,nicely placed for olympics,history of special divs....but NTV why mention them here?

i reckon the flotation of the solar related tech company they have all invested in can't be that far away from flotation
it could bring a substanial uplift in value once it is listed as this is green stock area which is blowing bubbles at the moment

I bought these before around £7 and sold them at just under £8 -very happy with that trade!.However bought back in at 705 and again today at 675..helluva spread.
Your mini portfolio is a good idea and thanks for the info.From the last accounts the property side seems to be going great guns and full of potential.
Maybe the 29% stakeholder is messing them about...already the hiving off of the property side into a REIT has been vetoed by them.You didnt mention Mt Burgess..must try and find something on them.

Hi meadow

I keep a mini portfolio going of their main investments and everything seems to be going OK.
Space and People (SAL) and Welsh Ind In Trust (WII) doing well and HMS struggling. Presuming shareholdings havent changed greatly the overall value still seems to be rising.
Looks like one company has changed it's ticker symbol with Investmedia now being called Avesco (AVS) so i am not sure how this one is doing.
To be honest this company has always been on a good dicount to TNAV since i have held so the dropback in the shareprice didn't surprise me.
The drop may have something to do with the property side, i would guess rising interest rates and the associated consequences isn't really great news for the company.
