06/3/2007 13:49 | Hi erstwhile I tend to agree with you to a certain extent.I do keep on the main share holdings and there has been very little change in these in the last year (HMS down the others up) What always attracted me to this stock was the discount to TNAV. If the company did not have these share investments then i suspect the discount to TNAV would be alot less and the shareprice therefore higher. I was hoping that the REIT route would unlock a large proportion of the value that is left. However by the time i found out they were going to abandon this route they had the new large shareholder and i have continued to hold. I would be more than happy if the main shareholder were to offer TNAV for the rest of the shares and they could then ditch the investments and concentrate on the commercial property (i think this is what they specialise in) With regard to upward property revaluations. I think commercial property prices have risen in the last couple of years. I also think they have in the past had unutilised portions of their estate. Once these areas are let out at commercial rates i would suspect this would help with any valuation with regard to this land. | rmillaree
05/3/2007 17:57 | Hold ghe, ige and trt. Investments in ghe have held up really well recently yet the share price has dropped from 750p to 600p, predeominately on the REIT news. Without further news the discount is getting wider. Anyone any idea how the REIT/Parkwood issue will be resolved. | kelvinford
01/3/2007 19:07 | Well we've gone from best performing to probably worst performing in 2 months. | muffster
20/1/2007 15:29 | Good to see Space and People on the up and director buying at 85p. SPACEANDPEOPLE, which manages and sells promotional space in malls and shopping centres, said its profits rose by almost half in the year to 31 October, citing development of bespoke sales teams as the reason. The Glasgow-based company, which joined AIM in 2004, said turnover rose by over a third to £1.93 million, while pre-tax profits increased 48 per cent to £455,000. This year the company will pay a dividend of 1.5p per share, up 50 per cent on last year. The company said the only disappointment had come in the summer, with June and July missing forecasts. However, chairman JJ Arnold said the company was in talks with a portfolio of well-known outdoor leisure destinations for summer activities. During the year, the company began operations in France and said yesterday it was in "advanced discussions" with other overseas property portfolios, including one of the largest in Europe. | muffster

11/1/2007 16:50 | Hi all Bought 2500 of these at rougly the same time as NTV as the 50% discount to assets just seemed like a no brainer. I hoped to make maybe 50% within a year and then move on to pastures new, well so far I've made over 100% and every time I think about selling they tick up just that little bit more. The discount to assets has now gone and therefore my original reason for buying has gone and the dividend is not worth hanging around for, so I feel I should sell but they just won't stop going up ! (this is so annoying :-) (NOT) ) Is there a new reason to keep these ie takeover/REIT or is most of the value now already in the price ? What is the best price that any of you could see for these in, say, the next six months ? Luck to all Mannequin | mannequin

19/12/2006 00:52 | WELSH INDUSTRIAL INVESTMENT TRUST PLC INTERIM RESULTS 6 MONTHS ENDED 5 OCTOBER 2006 CHAIRMAN'S INTERIM STATEMENT Dear Shareholder, The revenue profit before taxation for the half year ended 5 October, 2006 was £27,000 against £75,000 for the comparable period last year. As a result, revenue earnings per share were 2.0p against 5.6p last time. The variance in revenue profit is virtually exclusively as a result of other operating income falling to a loss of £11,000 this half-year from a profit of £48,000 in 2005, this latter amount including a non-recurring profit of £21,000. There was a loss on the capital account of £228,000 for the six months ended 5 October, 2006 against a profit of £177,000 in the corresponding period last year. This was mainly due to falls in the prices of some of our AIM holdings. Since 5 October, 2006 however all of these have now recovered with SpaceandPeople plc hitting new highs and Transense Technologies now above the level at the start of the financial year. The net asset value per share at 5 October, 2006 was 490.3p against 511.5p six months earlier. This represents a fall of 4.14% against a drop in the FTSE All Share Index of 0.34%. Details of the Company's ten largest investments as at 5 October, 2006 can be found in note 6. The Board has decided to increase cash and cash equivalents and thus reduce the size of the invested portfolio. The cash element has increased from £301,000 as at 5 April, 2006 to £1.46 million as at 5 October, 2006 which represents 22% of the net asset value. As in previous years the Board is proposing no interim dividend. A P Stirling Chairman 18 December, 2006 | rambutan2
