But surely Gilbert has to be party to the current situation. So his options if interested … He must have as much, AT LEAST knowledge as this guild. Which seems to basically think it’s not if , it’s when pen will be put on paper by the foundation. If so , why not bid now if his confidence is as much as those “in the knowâ€￾ here ? Or has he more knowledge of the situation than we have , and thinks this still has problems ahead ? As such he wants to wait until the deal is done. Or is he allowing MIN to get the deal over the line as he thinks , although the cost of a takeover now would be cheaper, the disruption may slow even more the Foundation signing the contract ? Does that make sense ?
Thanks atlantic - similar pricing thoughts to me on a Gilbert initiated takeover if the absence of a deal lingers on. Some highly compelling reasons why it won't but it's always best to keep expectations in check with MIN.
I didn’t ask CE anything about a prospective takeover, I don’t know if it was mentioned by Nick, Waterloo, nobby etc? But everyone involved with MIN has had a very long journey, and I’m sure a fair offer would be accommodated. The value of the project is extremely transparent to buyers, with enormous potential for growth going forward that would not be reflected in the takeover price. 5p per share or thereabouts seems to be regarded as a fair price, would be a real bargain for the acquirers, and for a large firm would be accompanied with very little risk given the project’s status with the government. Execution risk for a tiny company like MIN would be much more significant, however. So I suspect a fair bid would receive strong shareholder support.

atlantic, I agree on timescale projections. I think, however, it's reasonable to hope and perhaps even assume the Govt would want to go into the imminent election with issues like this sorted. My view is that the Foundation is an antiquated institution which has a lot of power struggles within it and that has prevented progress. I conclude (belatedly admittedly) that MIN has been powerless to overcome that in recent years. However, the point you make about MIN being in the hands of a third party (the Govt) is a game changer in my view. I hope and believe that factor means the deal gets over the line and allows MIN to move forward with an array of positive and exciting news. I firmly believe that the certainty that a deal brings, coupled with the prospect of follow-on news, makes the Company a candidate for a takeover this year. We will see - just a personal view, not a prediction.

I hope a Domino rally starts , and we don’t have big time spaces between announcements. Or a 10p takeover 🤷ðŸ￾»â€￾♂ï¸￾😂

DC bugger off to Nobby’s guild thread full of halfwits talking the same delusional nonsense. I feel for Yorgi he’s been ousted in a takeover battle as Chief of all things Minoan, paying for premium advfn and most have left his dictators thread, only to be replaced by Nobby’s delusional unicorn thread.🤣 Nobby owns Yorgi 100% what a climb down 🤦ðŸ￾»â€￾♀ï¸￾ The Monks are having a good old chuckle over a bottle of their finest red 😋
