BAODING, China, April 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Yingli Green
Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE:YGE) ("Yingli Solar" or "Yingli"), one of the world's
leading solar panel manufacturers, today announced that it has once
again hosted the FC Bayern Munich Youth Cup Japan selection event
in the Tohoku region in Japan.
This is the 4th year Yingli has held this event in Japan, 5th time globally.
Together with FC Bayern Munich and its sponsors such as Adidas,
Lufthansa and Audi, Yingli was able to put on another great event
for the children in the region that was hit the hardest during the
March 11, 2011 disaster that had
altered many lives and hampered their Football progress. 92 players
from Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures took part in the
selection process while Sebastian Dremmler, Head Coach of
International Programs of FC Bayern Munich was onsite to personally
select the 10 best players. The selected athletes will form Team
Japan and compete in the upcoming FC Bayern Youth Cup World Finals
in Munich on May 15, 2016 at the world famous Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern Munich.
"We are proud to once again host this special event in
Japan. This event is especially
important to us because at Yingli, our job is not only to bring
power to every corner of the world, but also to bring powerful
smiles to those in need," commented Mrs.
Judy Tzeng Lee, Vice President and
Chief Marketing Officer of Yingli.
"We are very happy to host the FC Bayern Youth Cup Japan in the
Tohoku region for the fourth time together with Yingli Solar to give these kids the chance for a
once in a life time opportunity and to represent their country in
the tournament. The FC Bayern Youth Cup shall help to bring
football back to the daily life of the young players and society in
this special area," said Sebastian Dremmler, Head Coach
International Programs of FC Bayern Munich.
