Bombardier Skyjet Adds New Options to Premier Fleet Program:
Members May Now Use Hours for Transoceanic Trips and Travel in
Europe WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Bombardier Skyjet, the
nation's premier service for booking charter business jets and a
unit of Bombardier Aerospace, has announced two new enhancements to
its Premier Fleet jet membership program, representing the first
time that a charter jet membership program has offered customers
the flexibility to use their hours for travel between two points in
Europe or travel to Europe from North America. Effective this
month, Premier Fleet customers may apply their contract hours for
travel between any of 25 countries in Western and Eastern Europe,
using a conversion ratio specific to their membership terms.
Conversion ratios differ depending on the type of Premier Fleet
membership contract but, for example, a customer with a small jet
membership contract with unrestricted one-ways can use 1.6 Premier
Fleet hours for 1.0 hour of flight time between two points in
Europe. In addition, members may now use their Premier Fleet hours
to "upgrade" to a transoceanic or other ultra long-range trip
originating in the United States. Bombardier Skyjet will offer
transoceanic and other ultra long-range trips through its existing
network of top-notch, safety-audited charter operators, while trips
within Europe will be offered through the quality operator network
serving its sister division in Europe. The Premier Fleet jet
membership program offers customers a block of 25, 50 or 100 hours
of flight on a specified aircraft size, at a guaranteed hourly rate
plus a membership fee. The new travel options also apply to
customers of the Premier Fleet Plus-Learjet Class program, which
enables members to specify a particular aircraft -- namely, the
midsize Bombardier Learjet 60. According to Nicholas Houseman,
general manager of Bombardier Skyjet, the new travel options
provide a point of differentiation for the company, as most other
charter jet membership programs restrict travel to within a few
hundred miles of the continental United States. Now Premier Fleet
customers can travel within, to, and from Europe. "We believe these
new options will offer greater flexibility to our customers," said
Houseman. "We listened to Premier Fleet customers who said they
wanted to have the option of traveling to and within Europe by
private jet. We responded by developing a program that allows them
to use their hours for longer trips and trips abroad," he added.
About Bombardier Skyjet Founded in 1997 and acquired by Bombardier
Aerospace in 2000, Bombardier Skyjet offers the Premier Fleet
private jet membership program for frequent charter travelers.
Premier Fleet offers customers a choice of 25, 50 or 100 flight
hours in a preferred size of aircraft, and guaranteed availability
with a 12-hour advanced reservation. By charging a simple hourly
rate for each hour flown, Premier Fleet eliminates the deadhead
costs associated with one- way jet travel and takes the confusion
out of charter jet pricing. Premier Fleet is the only block-hour
charter membership program offering the option of earning credit
toward whole or fractional aircraft ownership. Premier Fleet Plus
-- Learjet Class offers customers the opportunity to specify the
Learjet 60 as their aircraft of choice. Bombardier Skyjet also
offers on-demand charter business jets through its quality network
of safety-audited charter operators. Charter flights are available
by calling 1-888-2-SKYJET or by visiting http://www.skyjet.com/.
