I strongly recommend reading "Mistakes were made (but not by me)".

A great book and fits Woodford to a tee. Doesn't make him a psychopath though.

Yes think he's only a few left. Invesco (as per usual) a heavy holder (10%).

Shares in loan sharks AMGO, a heavy Woodford holding, down 25% this morning after releasing their results. Profits down due to increasing loan impairments and the FCA clamping down on their cruel business model.

EDIT: now down over 40%

simon g - yes, I've read before about the incidence of psychopaths in business. I even thought of writing a book "How to Become a Psychopath" but my heart wasn't in it.

I can't see the income fund coming back, such a stampede to get out. I reckon liquidate everything over 12 month, then a distribution to investors whats left.

@sg - yes, I'd suggest.

@monty - suspect his reputation means everything to him, tho scant consolation for those whose money he's p*ssed away on the likes of Northwest Bio, EVE, CIR etc.

Where is the humility? After destroying so much wealth and many folks retirement dreams / life savings, with his ultra high risk bets, he thinks he can stay in the game and is putting energy behind this. Is he a sociopath?

Ironic that the game Woody talks isn't one I'd disagree with - buy value over growth, then sit it out. Buy UK as it's very cheap & discounting a lot already.

But IT'S NOT WHAT HE'S DONE. He had a top 10 in WEIF consisting of the likes of Autolus, IH, Proton Partners, Benevolent AI etc. And loads of listed unlisted investors (ALM, MERC, WPCT etc), Russian warehouses, endless dodgy biotechs, useless techy punts like RM2. And value traps without end - PFG, KIE, averaging down all the way.

Housebuilders? Yeah, maybe, but they're at historically high margins. Sub-prime lenders? Maybe - he can't get enough of PFG, Amigo, Morses, NSF, but they've all done poorly to terribly, and we're at the tail end of a credit boom.

Woody bottom of every table over most timescales. He's an ex-fund manager IMO.

Yeah seems that way.

Weif .86 price today....will be lower tomoz as builders getting hammered on latest brexit sxxtshow fiasco news, and thats with easy stuff gone, if he is buying back into UK facing stocks, well they are getting destroyed again, weak sterling etc, what is that fund going to be worth when/if it opens ( i reckon next summer) .38/40p...Its dropping about 8pc a month!!....do you think the holders have actually caught on they are going to be losing at least half their money, the unlisted stuff, is two thirds of it actually worth anything??... they all need feeding with money, wheres that coming from now, without it, there is no value as they cease to exist.

Mummy, "Mummy wants Lisa to eat her sprouts."

Lisa, "Lisa not like sprouts, Lisa like pizza."

Just shares in issue I think (ie how many added), nothing untoward - unusually, where WPCT's concerned!

I see PFG getting a pounding today. Still looking forward to seeing how Woody offloads a quarter of that co.

A long way to go yet for WEIF..
