Thanks for the update from Amaja.

AM spotted by totdy over on lse thanks to him for the link, just off dutch coast

and thanks to amaja over on lse for this message

Just spoke with the harbour authorities and they indicated that the AM will most probably sail into the harbour at Maasvlakte to-morrow around noon (Dutch time). The captain has indicated that he specifically wants to sail at daylight. Good for those of us who want to view the FPSO throught the available webcams.
I will try to view this monster at the pier in Maasvlakte while entering the harbour mouth.

Steve,

The question for us 'older ones' is how long are we going to live. I would like a few golfing holidays in the sunshine courtesy of HUR before I am too decrepit. Are we going to be alive to spend it in three years time? It makes more sense to wait 3 years for £3 rather than 1 year for £1 of course, but maybe a combination is best.

Maybe you know the old saying. "Travel first class or your kids will!"

Edit: Just bought another 16K at 44.76 Maybe that'll get us a weekend in Skegness too.

Steve,

I'd certainly prefer to wait 2-3 years for 300p over 1 year for 100!

However, given the realities and uncertainties, combined with sizing issues I can't see myself not reducing my holding somewhere around 100p. How much I'd continue to hold would depend ....

Bought another 10k today, so i am now overweight in HUR but looks like sentiment has turned a corner & we could be heading back towards the 60p level, even prior to news?

Oil turning positive as reports Russia agree a cut is need on Reuter's. Could be a good opportunity if you are looking to top up all things considered.

My portfolio contains HUR, SDX and PMG.

Everyone here knows the case for HUR already. I expect that HUR will be bought out within a few years to deliver a return of 2-300%. I'd be delighted to see that timescale stretch and the return to be boosted.

SDX has been mentioned already - its drilling programme has been extremely successful and its gas businesses in Morocco and Egypt look very solid. I don't expect to get rich from SDX but I do expect to make 100-200% in the next year or 2 without excessive risk.

PMG is a bet on Tom Cross knowing what he is doing and repeating his previous performance at Dana. I expect to make 2-300% over the next 5 years.

Take some at a £1 and let the rest run to a potential of £3 to £5.

Yes the oil price just went positive which always helps.(Brent now up 1.2%)

Interesting little shake - clearly dropping the price to see if the buyers are still there. They are!

Steve - there are a few other oilies which offer plenty of scope. The ones I have (I know there are others!) are JOG, for the Verbier block, ECO, because its upside is enormous and CoS excellent, SDX, because its ongoing successes are certainly not reflected in the share price and PPC, which l have recently added because it looks intriguing. I won't bore you with CASP, which has been a potential multibagger for many years and we wait and wait or PANR, which surely has excellent rebound potential if they start getting their act together.

A question to this board...
Who would prefer to take (say) 100p in 6-12 months time (i.e. once we have some initial confidence of the deliverability of FB), or who would prefer to wait until a FFD for either GLA or GWA is sanctioned - probably in 2021/2 when a share price closer to 300p would probably be more appropriate.

I suppose I'm asking what other alternative investments do you see from 2019/20-2021/22 where you could confidently treble your stake?

It doesn’t we take that risk and also take all the upside should there be any.

How does the company indemnify itself against the risk of deliverability issues say five years into the future? Its cutting edge stuff!

The share price will be somewhere between what people are prepared to buy and sell their shares for, no amount of bull about market makers and short covering will make a blind jot, when the AM's eventually on station sometime around Xmas the share price will respond accordingly.

What does Foil stand for please

For me that's two separate investments, Foil brings with it the initial speculative profit which for me is where I take profits. There is then a whole new calculation on new longer term strategy as an oil producing Aims listed and what potential is on the cards longer term investment business.

1to 2 years past Foil and we will be shareholders in BP or Centrica.

Feels like this mornings trades are the last phase of transferring shares from loose to strong holders ahead of arrival WOS when hopefully the share dynamics will change? So with luck just two weeks more of this pattern of buyers being met by relentless sellers.

Once WOS we can then “bite our nails” that “Hook up to Foil” goes smoothly. While the institutions sit on the fence!

It's not really about FOIL ... it's about 1-2 years post-FOIL.
