Am I wrong in my assumption that there is a decent weather window in the next couple of weeks? That windy site you posted laser also seems to show nothing too major forecast?

"Weather forecasting for West of Shetland is generally excellent within a 5-7 day window. Whilst we're in Rotterdam we'll be monitoring the weather in detail, waiting for an opportunity to go," said Dr Trice.Just had a look at the weather in Shetland and there is nothing more than a light breeze until the 14th of December where it appears to turn with gails forecast. There is a weather window open that is inline with the schedule. I imagine all hands will be on deck at the yard to get the work done as conditions appear to be fine for a hook up within two weeks.

I have a lovely photo of the AM in Rotterdam- but don’t know how to post it. It is not important- it is important it is now in harbour. Nonetheless- 5-7 days it should be heading out to the field. January/Feb should be exciting. Of course the huge global uncertainties at the moment are not good for any market. But there is nothing we can do about that.

Mmm yes , uncertain in this mix how the Chinese will play it .
Massive Border with Russia and America relies greatly on China for exports and manufacturing.

I’d say KSA is desperate for allies of sorts .

With the Israelis thrown in the mix .

Surely I am not the only person here to have watched news coverage of the G20 meeting? Trump cold shouldered MbS (the Crown Prince of Saudi) and walked past Putin as if he had never met him and did not know who he was. To be honest Trump looked like someone arrested on suspicion pretending that he did not know another suspect. I do not think Trump would make a successful poker player.

Anyway the most striking thing for me was the way Putin high fived MbS as if the two were bosom buddies (or do I mean partners in crime?). A very public signal.

The Aoka Mizu vessel has arrived in Rotterdam for a final scope of work, which is expected to last around a week.

The scheduled stopover is primarily to enable the fitting of its flare boom and for the removal of steel plating welded over the turret mooring buoy aperture in Abu Dhabi prior to the sea passage.

Hurricane told Energy Voice earlier this month that the FPSO should be on station west of Shetland by Christmas.

After the Rotterdam work is complete, Hurricane will make a decision to head either straight for the huge oil and gas field, or to Lerwick, depending on the weather.

Earlier this month, CEO Robert Trice said: “Even if it’s on Christmas Day we’re keen to get it out there!”

A lot of press today about the Saudis not wanting to anger Trumpton.

Trump says that Saudi Arabia couldn't exist without America and that their oil is becoming less important anyway.

So what happens if Putin tells the Saudis that he would like to see the price of oil up and that Russia is willing to take over from the USA and feed the Saudis with arms etc? Very unlike Putin to miss a chance.

I agree with fatnacker Gary. Any displayed price between now and the open are totally irrelevant, a bit like the crossing of the prices prior to the open. No need to worry. Probably to do with site maintenance.

gary there's something odd with the trade data after close but the price closing is the last reported AT trade being -5.8% it will correct itself Monday morning.

By my very rough calculations, just 1% of the FB by volume, needs to be oil, in order to contain our 2.3bn contingent resource, given the size and depth of the fields. Are there any figures for this? I'm just trying to get a mental picture of what it's like down there. I see no risk of sucking in water, as we are producing from 1km long horizontal sections near the top of the reservoirs, with 1km depth oil column. The wells would flow on natural pressure, the ESPs only give a little extra impetus. Well below bubble point and gas cap formation. The flow lines are insulated to keep the temperature high to mitigate any risk of wax deposition.

Rethe, if you go to the hurricane website as a starter , then look at presentations , broker notes etc .

Then interrogate Past RNS On Funding , Operations , ask have they done what they’ve so far promised .

Look at recent Takeovers ie Dana recently , find a map of sorts WoS is assets and operations .

There are a few exceptionally well versed posters on here , whom have a significant background in O@G that are heavily invested in HUR
