Itâs not difficult to understand. Many peeps donât want to invest in this high risk sector. Muted response. Cheaper oil (and less wars) next year may helpAs with sooooo many stocks listed in this god awful country, best chance of a much higher SP is a takeover. Sad but true. 700p still looks a long way away. Increasing div is a little compensation though. If the board thought the SP was cheap. Might be a buyback.

SP next to nowhere in 2 years (albeit big swings up and down). 12 days and results out. Might be decent but in this dire market, who knows what will happen. Probably drop lol. Only way to get the SP moving might be some takeover/merger talk. Expecting a big Div increase mind.

Could be an interesting few days.Easyjet already been hit with change of CEO.Ryanair down over 12% this morning.Easyjet down 7%.Ryanair results are now priced into Easyjet price. If Easyjet achieve above market estimate results then £5 could be on the cards.Lower than expected, could see the share price below £4.I think I'll be buying futures for March 25 if the share price falls below £4.I've considered Easyjet as a takeover target and further weakness could encourage a bid

Saphire - Part of the problem is major pension funds don't buy shares any longer, instead they buy government bonds on a geared up basis (which could go spectacularly wrong very quickly wiping out their investment entirely). I have no idea why they are allowed to punt their pensioners money like this but while they do it means they aren't buying shares. So who is left? Hedge funds selling short and sharks selling short in concert so that they can make a takeover at a knockdown price? This is what the UK stock market consists of now. No wonder the market has gone essentially nowhere for 25 years. (FTSE in 2000 was 7000, now it is 8000).
