14/3/2024 18:10 | I am getting itchy fingers The current difference in prospective yield Between AV and LGEN is 1.25% Perhaps at nearer a 2% difference a switch is interesting as it would enable me to maintain income levels whilst reducing £ committment to the market Interesting what views others have? It seems to me that the primary difference between the two; is that AV have a CEO with whom the Market has fallen in love with and who could be nearing the end of her tenure!! and LGEN has a new unquantified CEO whose strategy will not be known until June | 1robbob
14/3/2024 16:33 | Interesting price action today(and the last month of course). positive on a negative day. New highs and repeated higher lows. plenty of buyers coming in to buy the dips. | muscletrade
14/3/2024 15:10 | Hope it hasn't run outa puff, just bought another 3,000. | markth
14/3/2024 11:16 | Great to see the progress here and how well most traders are probably doing as result, but for divi return it arrives outside my perimeter for re-investing at the moment. I will keep the current holding for the Long Term income, which I believe will grow YoY for the medium term GLA | tornado12
14/3/2024 11:10 | Whilst we are basking in the AV sunshine!!! AV now yields historically 6.9% and Legal and General 8.2% That is a huge yield pick up? The success of AVs singleness of purpose will have not been lost on LGEN | 1robbob
14/3/2024 09:54 | FWIW :- Berenberg raises Aviva price target to 550 (493) pence - 'buy' | skinny
14/3/2024 09:48 | Upgrades today suggest many think there is more to come well above 500. Still offering a very high dividend too even at these prices so there is still plenty on offer from AV. in my opinion. I hold at a very good average but am happy to add more on any small pullback especially with the divi not that far away. Good luck all 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
14/3/2024 09:47 | It's not majorly exciting Marksp. Good steady return with mo sleepless nights to build up my pension. I'd rather be buying this than Tesla. But it's horses for courses | engelbert1969
14/3/2024 09:41 | 483 was the peak last week and also the 5 year high and now within a gnat's tadger. | skinny
14/3/2024 09:29 | The question is would you buy this at 480?At 380 it was a screaming buy but I don't see the excitement at this level - views? | marksp2011
14/3/2024 09:28 | They will deny it , but well said. .. | whatsup32
14/3/2024 08:56 | That makes three institutions who have updated their view on AV. That leaves six to say something.RBC, Deutsche, Jefferies, JPM, Citi and Barclays. JPM alrrady at overweight and punchy with a 575 target while the other 5 are a mixed bag of hold, buy neutral etc with an average target of 476, so it seems possible/likely that all 5 will increase target and three of them might upgrade. 14/3/2024 08:39 | The Times "Direct Line turns down second takeover bid from rival" Belgian offered 3% more | whatsup32
14/3/2024 08:34 | it was 493p previously | muscletrade
14/3/2024 08:32 | looks as if Berenberg updated target price is 550p | muscletrade
14/3/2024 08:25 | The 18 year old intern who inks in the numbers is probably late into the office this morning after his Mum made him tidy his room before he left the house.spud | spud
14/3/2024 08:21 | Berenberg "Aviva offers significant upside from current levels as it trades on low valuation multiples on an IFRS basis. However, we believe the market will look for further progress on achieving its targets before rerating the shares." Berenberg have been a buyer of Av since march 2021 so its the new price that they are now suggesting is what Im interested in. | muscletrade
14/3/2024 08:11 | UBS raises Aviva price target to 555 (515) pence - 'buy' Bank of America raises Aviva price target to 540 (490) pence - 'buy' I can't find Berenberg at the minute | p0pper
14/3/2024 08:09 | Berenberg have a buy note out this morning. Don't know the price they have put on it yet. | muscletrade
14/3/2024 07:36 | I see we are back on speculation on possible take out price for AV which can be quite fun....although Im not holding my breath. Based on company's direction of travel etc one could argue(and I have) that the Sp should be heading towards the mid 500s in a relatively short time frame. AV is no longer a lame duck but certainly a sitting duck at current valuation. This is true for a number of FTSE companies An offer of £6 would be rejected out of hand. An offer of £7 might make the board think about it.All IMHO. That's my bit of fun for the day. | muscletrade
13/3/2024 22:25 | If it were the same advisors as aegas for dlg, it will be nearer 3% than 30% :-) | pete160
13/3/2024 22:18 | LOL a 25% rise, make it 50% and it's a deal. | smurfy2001
13/3/2024 21:14 | I’m not married to Av , £6 will do it | whatsup32
13/3/2024 21:02 | Don’t recall anything at all from previous 3 years re B&B. These volumes are unusually large, however with interest rate reductions becoming a strong probability maybe there is pent up demand coming from cash savings? On the M&A side, if a bid emerges from offside, what price would turn your head? £6? | rongetsrich |
