I bet you are great to be around in a crisis. 'Quick everyone - panic! Give up immediately' Muppet.

There is no reason for our mines to be shelled. We are not near anything of military importance. It is hard to see how this flare up will make any difference to AAZ in the medium term. It will pass, and whatever the outcome we will still have our mines and concessions. Whatever the price does in the sort term won't affect that.

It’s only going to be a matter of time when our mine is told to evacuate due to this war escalating, looks like both sides not closer to a truce. Terrible

Looks like its getting very messy with Ganja being shelled, I personally believe the Armenians are more in the right than the Azeris / Turks and just hope they can find a way to dial it down a bit ....

HZM has really struggled for a few weeks, but i'm sticking with that another week, i really believe their share price will bounce very soon and will be disappointed if it doesn't.

thanks, and GLA

Sugar its Sunday again. Managed to pick 3 last week 2 went up 1 down and I picked the downer, 4D, this week I am looking AVCT and ORPH. ORPH has had a good run last week and should keep going but the Daily Mail getting on AVCT should do it good with those that have no idea about life so going for AVCT for the mug punter bets.
Would have had a longer review but had a fair bit to drink soz.

#update Explosion heard in #AZE city #Mingachevir minutes after President Ilham Aliyev addressed the nation

This is not good. Mingachevir is city with hydro resoivor / plant that powers most of Azerbaijan. Sounds like they want to hit strategic infrastructure.

Update from president assistant.

Armenia's state terror against Azerbaijani civilians continues. Minutes ago Armenia's armed forces launched missile attack against #Mingachevir industrial city of Azerbaijan. Mingachevir hosts water reservoir and key electricity plant. Barbaric expression of desperation.

I don't think Baku will stop now as stopping will enable talks making taking Nagorno back harder. It looks like the Azeri's are seeing this as the time to liberate their lands.

Below is summary of President Aliyev speech and conditions for ceasefire. So think we will be in for more fighting. Tweet below with from blogger with translation of speech.

To sum up, Aliyev proposed these canditions below for ceasefire:
1. Armenian army have to leave Karabakh.
2. Armenia should recognize territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
3. Pashinyan should apologize to Azerbaijani nation.
4. Armenia should propose a timetable to withdraw.

Good chart PYC

#PYC 7.26p confluence and confirmations here with a Hammer at the 100sma, key Fibonnaci level 0.38 and a rising trendline as support. Not only that but the stochastic is indicating 19.00 coming out of o/sold.

All in all high probability that the pullback is over. I like this 1.

From 1990 to 2020. "Azerbaijan’s military budget, in turn, soared from $10 million to $1.7 billion" per annum.

Wow.....you generally don't buy stuff without a need to use it.

It is very sad to see another corner of our world descend into belligerent conflict.... especially at a time when we should all be focusing on more pressing issues like health and the pandemic.

Having said that, I don't think this is the right forum to debate the rights and wrongs of this longstanding conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.

I very much hope these people can find a way to peacefully resolve their differences very soon... for their sakes, as peace and stability is always much preferred to the grim horrors of war... and as an investor in AAZ, our investment in the area pales into insignificance to the human tragedies that war always brings and are doubtlessly being experienced!

My choices are PXC or CGNR or. SOLG.

mad foetus is only 100 in front of me in 4th place and he has chosen PXC 😀😀.I think it will have a good week and news must be close....last announcement was 3 weeks this coming Wednesday....

Picking PXC means I stay exactly the same as mad foetus so to get on top I am going for CGNR and the signing of the J/V with drilling targets plan etc and a big increase in share price....AAZ would love to get it announced shortly ....re SOLG ....BHP comes out of purdah in 10 days time to start discussions re takeover etc so will take a chance on them perhaps next Sunday.....All IMHO

While Russia has been trying to engage with both sides they are in a NATO-style treaty with Armenia, the CSTO

So if the "skirmishes" do spill over into a larger scale war then it could activate that treaty (on the "an attack against one is an attack against all" principle).

Turkey is clearly involved in all of this also and they are NATO members so this whole thing could become really messy.

There is an established international process to negotiate a peaceful outcome, via the OSCE Minsk Group.

It should be everybody's wish that these negotiations are ASAP resumed within that forum.

War is not the answer.
