04/10/2020 11:06 | Wan, Good morning to you. Suggest you read Mattjos take on the border skirmish, which he has just put on his thread. | ![]() klosters65

04/10/2020 09:48 | Probably turbulent times coming for AAZ share price as those who fear the worst attempt to get out of their positions,, or, could trading in the stock be temporarily halted.... In either case if one steps back from ones emotions and assesses the situation with a calm mind,,,, provided AAZ mines are not shelled & AZERGOV continues to support AAZ, from an investment point of view, the current situation is all about time... How long until stability is re-established in the region and by what means,,, will outside influences pressure all parties into peace talks, or will AZER be left to take back the NK region and how long will it take... During that time can AAZ continue operations or will they need to mothball... Unless Armenia is successful in invading AZER (which looks totally unachievable without outside influence and even then any outsiders will not be looking for that) the GOLD is not going anywhere... Also, I believe and others can correct me on this, AAZ has exploration areas as yet unexplored in the NK region, so it may actually yield even more opportunity for AAZ should AZER take back NK... None of us know where this will go and as some have already said, the market reacts to uncertainty,,,,, but, often it's during those times that the greatest opportunity lies,,, might well be some interesting prices available for AAZ stock coming soon,,,, we shall see... oh what a game folks Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
04/10/2020 09:16 | Azerbaijan Says Second-Largest City Hit by Missiles From Armenia planes shot down how does AAZ get gold out of country?? | ![]() fsawatcher
04/10/2020 09:10 | yep, can't see a ceasefire now and agree with Cel, from what I've been reading over the weekend AZER are committed to winning back NK, a territory they claim is theirs and are looking to do that as swiftly as possible.. they do out muscle Armenia, so it will now be down to outside interference as to whether they can achieve their aim or not,, left to it, it might not be too much longer before we see a mass exodus of civilians from the region as its left to the respective armies to fight it out to the end.... who knows, horrible situation which just needs to come to an end as soon as possible.. GLA Cheers Wan | wanobi
04/10/2020 08:35 | Indiscriminate Missile attacks are launched against Ganja, Füzuli, Tartar and Jabrayil cities of Azerbaijan from territory of Armenia. Ganja is the second biggest city of Azerbaijan. 500.000+ population. This just been reported. Be interesting to see what devolopes | ![]() muddy_40

03/10/2020 22:19 | Looks like the Azeri army are going for Nagorno Karabakh in total. Madagiz was captured today with Baku celebrating. | ![]() celeritas
03/10/2020 13:55 | Looks like this mini war isn’t going to stop for a while. I can see my investment staying stagnant for a while now which is a big shame. Dividends do make things sweeter but a gold mine in a war ridden country is just not worth an investment in my eyes | ![]() allseeingeye1
03/10/2020 13:31 | Nagorno-Karabakh was not invaded, even during Soviet times it was an autonomous region populated predominantly by ethnic Armenians. The lands that the Armenian Republic took in the 90s to bridge the gap between them and Nagorno-Karabakh were invaded but there was a reason for that as Azerbaijan was threatening the status of Nagorno-Karabakh. | ![]() casual47
03/10/2020 13:13 | The situation is difficult because the "occupied territory" is populated predominantly by ethnic Armenians. You can argue that they are occupying Azeri territory but you can also argue that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh are entitled to self-determination, much like the Scots are or the Catalans or indeed the people living on the Falkland islands. You can argue the rights and wrongs of history all day long but the bottom line is that this is about the lives of the people living there now and what is right for them. The extra dimension here is that, arguably, the ethnic Armenians would not be safe should Azerbaijan take control of the territory. The Armenian genocide happened for a reason. The extra lands which the Armenian Republic took during the war back in the 90s was to secure the safety of the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave so that they wouldn't be completely surrounded by Azerbaijan. | ![]() casual47
03/10/2020 12:04 | 2sporrans, perhaps Junckers and Yeltsin were related :¬) I have listened to two interviews on Al-Jazeera, the Azeri president, and the Armenian Prime Minister. One can see how intractable the situation is. | ![]() lefrene
03/10/2020 10:02 | Its not realistic imv, or likely, to expect too see a stable AAZ share price if the situation does erupt into a full blown conflict. Even though we are most probably too far from any action to be directly affected, investors hate uncertainty, and that will more than offset any good company specific news. | ![]() bo doodak
03/10/2020 10:02 | I will go with RBW again. C0lin1 I know how you feel, I have been waiting 3 months for a JORC update with RBW which was promised at the end of March. If any of you are interested in rare earth metals then have a look at the latest presentation from Pensana (competitor of RBW in Africa). Unfortunately I do not hold shares in them (their market cap is now £114m with RBW languishing at £15m) Slide 16 is very interesting that VW alone for their ID3 model for 50 million cars to be produced between 2020-2050 would require their own rare earth mine (each electric car requires about 1Kg of NdO The chairman also mentions that NdPr price is expected to double to triple due to demand for EV and wind turbines. | ![]() odsjp
