Anyone know any acceptance level so far. I've been ill for a week. Is it still 20% or have they gained more acceptance increasing the levels

I am sure that this BOD will do anything to keep this deal on track and get the promised pot of gold from the PE chaps.

Without ABC here we would be scuppered it's no longer for me investing in the UK too much of this type of shenanigans in the London market better of investing on the Nigerian stock market.

...still no news on the general meeting either. That should have been notified by now IMO. What’s going on BOD?? Busy trying to thrash out something before ABC scupper your intentions!?

Not a single mention of the attributes of the AA anywhere saying it has traded well through the last recession and the covid pandemic .
All we have had Is the paid for press articles telling us how it's weighed down by debt of £3 billion not a single word that the debt has been reduced fron £3.2 billion to £2.6 billion today .
We have had little mention of cash built up in the business since August where has that been squirrelled away I wonder.

From BBC
As a friend of mine recently pointed out, the business world is full of people who will tell you: "If I ran my company the way they are running the country I'd have been sacked long ago."
Oh I don’t know I can think of lots of poorly run companies were the ceo wasn’t sacked

Yes but doesn't add anything. Just says reports suggested it might go for 50p but in the end succumbed to a 35p bid.

At least its generating publicity that's its an absolute steal at 35p. 50p is still a bargain. Hopefully it will entice another suitor

Interesting thesloth2. We all know 50p will do it.

Small piece in the ST today re Foreign Predators/Brexit Bargains. A slight hint but no more " While reports suggested that it could fetch 50p a share........last month WP and TB agreed a takeover at 35p valuing the AA at £219m"

Thanks, I agree.
I've just read last years trading update released 11 Dec 2019. So positive, buying back bonds etc due to continuing positive momentum. If anything, due to Covid its better now. Refinancing wasn't a problem then!

Thanks Kelso29 for these updates. I think £ weakness will also have helped with an American buyer.

I find it sad that we haven't seen any potential 3rd party enter the scene. Surely others must be attracted to the turnover and profits AA are making.

Still happy to wait for this to develop into a higher offer. Patience needed

Yesterday the 2022 bond dropped 0.15% to close at 97.23%.
On Thursday, Millennium purchased 43k Equity SWAP to close at 1.3% and the DarK side purchased 260k to close at 17.2%.
There was more volume yesterday and with the share price rising I'm expecting more purchases to be declared on Monday.

Yesterday
The 2022 bond dropped by 0.03% to close at 97.38%.
Weiss declared that they purchased 449k CFD on Wednesday.
Millennium declared that they purchased 2.338m Equity SWAP on Wednesday to close at 8m Equity SWAP. Their previous holding of 5.72m was below the 1% declaration threshold, but I'm guessing it was only recently built up eg since ABC stated they were unhappy with the offer. Millennium previously had a short back in May and also in September peaking at 0.82% on 16 Sept but closed (0.00%) on 18 Sept.
