Uncertainty about the Omicron variant of COVID has spooked commodities traders
An increasing number of experts believe that these fears could be unjustified
Most investment banks remain optimistic about the outlook for oil markets

But sad gateway, it is your anti-vaxx stance which means you have attached *yourself* to that list of miscreants.

We'll leave it at that. We're not going to have an impact on each other's Covid views. /end

I think it's likely that they will flow test each zone for as long as possible. Whether they report each zone on completion or report all zones together when complete is another key question, hopefully answered by RNS prior to commencing the testing... GLA C

Its one road, goes from the highway to Talitha, same as last year, but then will be continued for another 10.5 miles to Theta West. should be able to start operations at Talitha simultaneously with extending the road to Theta.

Thanks for posting, MahanaKiwi.

Arranging that loan facility was a very prudent move as it turns out. Fact!

Latest petroleum news article on Pantheon.

hxxps://www.petroleumnews.com/pnads/209297555.shtml

Need to put in "https"

“Petroleum News sources say GBP has under contract much of the equipment and supplies it needs to complete its drilling plans due to the fact it was willing to put money down for many of the essentials.

That information coincides with what Pantheon said Nov. 17 - that it had entered into a short-term draw down facility of US$1.5million with an existing shareholder.”

sad gateway, post # 19868: this post sums up perfectly the clear blue water between the trader and the investor. I 100% "get" the difference. I've sat beside actual traders for years and interacted with "trader" characters in the market a squillion times. Most investors are happy to concede it's just not their bag. It's not mine.

Unfortunately the same understanding is rarely reciprocated. When describing the Guild content on a day like today:

"....just a bit of weeping and a lot of wailing as nearly 80p became sub 70p. lol"

I expect sad gateway will scoff and the inner voice will say "does not compute, he must be lying" when he reads the following. I give you my word that days like today and yesterday are of no concern to me, apart from the stress it invariably induces in my fellow shareholders and the concomitant rise in the publication of disinformation and conspiracy theories - usually in a tragic attempt to explain share price movement s outside of their expectation and control. When I wrote the Guild didn't have one post over the weekend which dealt with the current SP, I wasn't lying. Yesterday's total number of posts? Five.

I'll give you another chance to surprise me, sad gateway. Do you believe people like michaelsadvfn are telling the truth when we state we really don't care about the vacillations of the SP? For us, it's all about the fundamentals and unlocking/unveiling value. Be honest, do you believe us when we say that? Or does this paragraph sound like double Dutch to you?

Alaska tundra threshold to begin activity: sensors must confirm a temperature of -5 Centigrade at a depth of 30cm. Optimal sea level ambient temperature for ice road construction is -28 degrees Centigrade.

sad gateway, the anti-vaxxer - not one contributor to this thread, that I'm aware of, has stated the vaccine *guarantees* you will not catch the virus, nor pass it on. I read the original Lancet article we both referenced a couple of days back and, with a far larger sample size, being vaxxed means you are 52% less likely to catch *and* pass on the virus. Admittedly this is pre the omicron strain.

Listen, sad gateway, we both know you're going against the global scientific consensus and you're opting to join the likes of Alex Jones, Rand Paul, David Icke, Robert Kennedy Jnr, Piers Corbyn, the delectable Jenny McCarthy and loads of other PhDs from the Interweb University in declaring "but muh freedom" and "you're not the boss of me". I "get" it. Spend a day browsing fintwit *traders* (NB NOT investors) content and have a read of the most outspoken and self-confident accounts (NB they don't use caveats, ever, it's a black and white world only, never grey) in the UK, Oz and USA and almost to a man (nearly all men) they're libertarian to the max. And that makes perfect sense. It's entirely consistent with the character traits associated with individuals drawn to that role in the markets. You're a picture perfect example of this particular strain of market participant, aren't you sad gateway? just look at your limited content on this very thread.

Couple of things. Quit having a tanty, roll up your sleeve and get the jab. If not for you, then for your family/friends and anyone else you may come into contact with, especially those with compromised immune systems. If you need a concrete example of "doing the right thing", do it for my cancer-surviving sister who is a doctor and has signed countless death certificates due to Covid since the pandemic began. Has she stopped working on the front line despite her oncological history? Not once. Only when she's had to self-isolate when contacted by test'n'trace.

Amaze me, bad gateway, and do the right thing. Please.

As markets shut fact checking the claim that the vaccinated are less prone to spread the virus (post 19725)

From the lancet 19th Nov-anecdotal evidence that even without considering the side effects safer to be unvaxxed and rely on the well established principle of herd immunity.

"High COVID-19 vaccination rates were expected to reduce transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in populations by reducing the number of possible sources for transmission and thereby to reduce the burden of COVID-19 disease. Recent data, however, indicate that the epidemiological relevance of COVID-19 vaccinated individuals is increasing. In the UK it was described that secondary attack rates among household contacts exposed to fully vaccinated index cases was similar to household contacts exposed to unvaccinated index cases (25% for vaccinated vs 23% for unvaccinated). 12 of 31 infections in fully vaccinated household contacts (39%) arose from fully vaccinated epidemiologically linked index cases. Peak viral load did not differ by vaccination status or variant type [[1]]. In Germany, the rate of symptomatic COVID-19 cases among the fully vaccinated (“breakthrough infections”) is reported weekly since 21. July 2021 and was 16.9% at that time among patients of 60 years and older [[2]]. This proportion is increasing week by week and was 58.9% on 27. October 2021 (Figure 1) providing clear evidence of the increasing relevance of the fully vaccinated as a possible source of transmission. A similar situation was described for the UK. Between week 39 and 42, a total of 100.160 COVID-19 cases were reported among citizens of 60 years or older. 89.821 occurred among the fully vaccinated (89.7%), 3.395 among the unvaccinated (3.4%) [[3]]. One week before, the COVID-19 case rate per 100.000 was higher among the subgroup of the vaccinated compared to the subgroup of the unvaccinated in all age groups of 30 years or more. In Israel a nosocomial outbreak was reported involving 16 healthcare workers, 23 exposed patients and two family members. The source was a fully vaccinated COVID-19 patient. The vaccination rate was 96.2% among all exposed individuals (151 healthcare workers and 97 patients). Fourteen fully vaccinated patients became severely ill or died, the two unvaccinated patients developed mild disease [[4]]. The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identifies four of the top five counties with the highest percentage of fully vaccinated population (99.9–84.3%) as “high” transmission counties [[5]]. Many decisionmakers assume that the vaccinated can be excluded as a source of transmission. It appears to be grossly negligent to ignore the vaccinated population as a possible and relevant source of transmission when deciding about public health control measures."

Indeed
"Ice road construction requires a minimum snow depth of 6 inches, with the top 12 inches of tundra frozen to at least 23 F° with an optimal ambient temperature of -20 F°"

The forecast is below -20 F between Dec 12th-16th already, so it seems we're getting there in time.

The snow is insulating the Tundra so the grounds not cold enough yet. Think I heard compacting the snow reduces the insulating effect . Could be wrong but colder is better for me. 👌😊

24p in my case.

Not bothered one jot about the current share price, I’ve seen 8p and 95p, negative oil and $85/bbl. Roll on the end of the drilling season...if they have funds to pay for the ice road that is...😂ԅ14;😂
