26/7/2010 09:59 | AndyH78 (7652) "Emailed Selftrade ... There is no option to vote on this corporate action as it is a recommended all share offer... Are they correct or are they pulling my twinky? " Perhaps they're pulling their OWN twinkies, rather than doing the job. I have KDD in a Selftrade dealing account and I got two things from them: 1) A message in my inbox (sadly I deleted it) talking about voting and pointing me towards a help page explaining how this happened in corporate actions; 2) Another message, this time in PDF format, formatted as a letter they were sending to me, giving a timetable for the takeover (e.g. "06 September, GM", etc.) Perhaps when they say "GM" they mean "EGM" but let's not quibble over their inability to spell the letter "E". So I have one message from Selftrade specifically talking about voting and allowing me to believe (but not atually stating) that there would be more information later. Then I have a letter from them carefully not saying anything about voting at all and simply giving a timetable. I think they need a harpoon. | arf dysg
26/7/2010 09:57 | Can members here please discuss and come up with alternative scenarios which can be presented to board at shareholders meeting.Because current scenario is not looking attractive anough to rush towards. | corlan
26/7/2010 09:55 | Regardless of how insensitive Pemburys comments and tone are, There is no denying of fact that Firestones share price has contineously stumbled from 200P to 27P in last 2 years. | corlan
26/7/2010 09:47 | pembury (7649) "? not a clue what you are on about gloat about what exactly nothing to gloat about here" OK, what does this sound like? Your words! Sounds exactly like gloating to me: (7645) "Cheer up Kopane holders its not like you now get to hold a stock that has done nothing but go south for the last two years. oh yes it is" It sounds exactly like you're laughing at people who "now get to hold a stock that has done nothing but go south for the last two years." | arf dysg
26/7/2010 09:38 | AndyH78 - Documentation so far released by the company is merely a hard copy of the announcement made the other day - perhaps with a few additions, but I have had no opportunity to read it properly as yet. There are no voting arrangements outlined, nor voting papers provided. This will come later, which is made clear in the covering letter - no need to take any action until the Scheme Document etc is issued. | wdurham
26/7/2010 09:37 | Hi asmodeus, If you read my post again I mentioned a board room change first and proceed with mining on its own with MOU signed earlier.Thats exactly a long term investor wants. On the other hand I have been researching Firestones in last week and I don't see any strong promise delivering either. If you could bring some strong points regarding comeptence of Firestones and a comparison of " MOU+KDD with Firestones",I would appreciate. | corlan
26/7/2010 09:26 | As a long-standing Kopane shareholder,Corlan (7656) a No vote does not look attractive to me. I want to get out of Scolaro's hands as soon as possible and take my chances with Firestone - even if the price for these falls, temporarily, I hope. | asmodeus
26/7/2010 09:19 | This is fast becoming a shamble,KDD holders are practically being forced to buy FDI shares for 36P while their current market price is only 27P. A more pragmatic approach for KDD would probably be a hostile Board takeover, taking a decision to replace Scolaro with a public or private offering of Obtala Stock.Reestablishmen Firestones seem ok to add value to kopane assets however they don't have an excellent record in delivering results either.Share price has fallen from 200P to 27P in merely 2 years. Every private investor with nominee accounts should have details discussed with their brokers on how to vote.If share prices fall further a "NO Vote" is increasingly looking attractive. | corlan
26/7/2010 08:54 | They are incorrect. Recommended does not mean enforced. Not yet anyway . | parsnip884
26/7/2010 08:45 | The prospectus I have received certainly implies that shareholders will be asked to vote, but that no action needed just yet. | asmodeus
26/7/2010 08:37 | andy different approach from TDW, got an email from them telling me exactly where to go on the site to register my vote | katiegos
26/7/2010 08:26 | Emailed Selftrade to see how I go about voting, and was sent the following "Thank you for your recent message. There is no option to vote on this corporate action as it is a recommended all share offer. As detailed in the corporate action notice, you will receive the shares in due course. Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact Selftrade on 0845 0700 720. Kind Regards Customer Services Selftrade" Are they correct or are they pulling my twinky? | andyh78

24/7/2010 14:29 | Well thank you for continuing to gloat. Please continue. | arf dysg
24/7/2010 14:14 | ? Referring to FDI obviously 200p to 27p | pembury
24/7/2010 14:06 | pembury, you have got your share-price history wrong: (7645) "Cheer up Kopane holders its not like you now get to hold a stock that has done nothing but go south for the last two years. oh yes it is" Thank you so much for rubbing salt into the wounds of long-term share holders. BUT... So you think Kopane's share price has gone down over the last two years? Want to guess what the share prices were? Late July 2008: 7.5p Late July 2010: 12p That doesn't look like "down" to me. If you want to gloat at others' misfortune based on the facts, why don't you compare the experiences of: (a) some normal long-term share holders (price halved in three years) and (b) Frank Scolaro (price leaped upwards in 18 months). | arf dysg
23/7/2010 18:28 | Cheer up Kopane holders its not like you now get to hold a stock that has done nothing but go south for the last two years. oh yes it is | pembury

23/7/2010 14:39 | Well according to James Cable FD he seems to think these will be trading around the deal price 17p GBP52.7m when the deal is done as this is where the deal was valued. We shall see Mr Cable. | 2admiral

23/7/2010 11:53 | yes, end of the yellow stone road at Kopane - huge shame | giant steps
23/7/2010 11:51 | Arf - it's called "end of rainbow" syndrome, and KDD holders are it's number 1 sufferers. | 123asd |
