21/7/2010 18:55 | GEMD have c.$100m in cash so bag a bargain | pembury
21/7/2010 18:53 | simply turn up with 17-18 cash and it will carry the day. | holts
21/7/2010 18:02 | We'll all have to buy FDI manana, push the price up and take our .46 of the higher price! | devil20
21/7/2010 18:00 | Wendy/Arf - as things stand tonight, I shall be voting. What happens in the next few weeks may change my mind however. | 123asd
21/7/2010 17:55 | wdurham, perhaps I've been lucky in that respect (voting on corporate actions), although my experience of the utter incompetence at one on-line broker (ISA share transfer) had me swearing in disbelief, along the lines of "What do you mean, YOU'VE LOST THE FORM??" The mind boggles. I wasn't lucky there. | arf dysg
21/7/2010 17:53 | Surely if the share price stays this price regardless of the vote the BOD will cancel the offer as it is no longer what was expected ? I still think a lot of the drop in share price can be attributed to those who had inside knowledge and have bought a few million over the last week and most probably were the 1st inthe queue to dump ! | debbiegee
21/7/2010 17:36 | Well guys i'm buying into FDI tomorrow. Always interested in the asset and this way I still get a decent interest. Will hold my KDD and buy FDI. | 2admiral
21/7/2010 17:33 | wdurham - I have held shares in a nominee account with two different brokers and in both cases I have had a chance to vote on takeover offers. In one case I had to send a message via my share-dealing account to the "corporate actions team" of my broker, in another case I was given a screen with buttons on it to press to vote for or against. In these cases the broker handled it without being prompted. I'll recommend the second of these (Halifax) but not the other one which seriously annoyed me for reasons of totally messing up a share transfer into an ISA and nearly rendering me liable for hundreds of pounds of capital-gains tax. Ooh, look, pembury, why have you edited post 7544? Just now it said "you'll get 17p" !!! | arf dysg
21/7/2010 17:32 | If the deal goes through you won't get ANY MONEY AT ALL! Read the sodding announcement! It doesn't get any more official than that. RNS is the official legal channel (that's what RNS stands for, after all: REGULATORY NEWS SERVICE) through which official company announcements are made to the stock market. You will get 0.4657 of an FDI share for each KDD share. Price has nothing to do with it. Read the announcement! How hard can it be? | arf dysg
21/7/2010 17:26 | The reason for the KDD discount seems to be that despite large assets, they remained undeveloped. The rationale for the FDI merger is that they will now be developed. This should be a trigger for a re-rating. FDI paper clearly not garbage, but KDD small holders disappointed and presumably selling because they were hoping for a richer cash bid? The paper deal should provide more upside for those that remain if the assets are as good as hyped. | adam
21/7/2010 17:25 | Lilt Man - it's statutory rape, we are under 15 years old. | 123asd
21/7/2010 17:18 | WDurham Frank has bent over and told FDI Rape me. | gimmetheloot
21/7/2010 17:16 | seismick fear not counter bid | pembury
21/7/2010 17:14 | As I said in an earlier post....the 'market' has known this deal for some time. Hence the static share price But as you say Deb, we may have gone higher but for this. | devil20
21/7/2010 17:13 | Wendy - I read today's RNSs to mean that the 17p offer per share for Kopane is fixed. Do you read it the same way? If so, I strongly expect further developments. | 123asd
21/7/2010 17:09 | Well I saw 2 problems today dont know which was the chicken or the egg. FDI investors did not really appreciate what they were getting and if not sure they sold. Thanx for posting the presentation and it may help if they or analysts take the time to study it. The other problem is that for a week there has been an obvious leak and I would bet my bottom $ that those buyers were all 1st out today. With the insiders selling on the announcement to bank their dirty money it would have caused confusion causing FDI holders to sell before taking the time to research or perhaps stop losses were hit. I have always maintained without the shares being under offer we probably would have acheivedd a higher share price this year instead of drip drip drip or at best static. We would have surely rose with Petra yesterday as a good example ! | debbiegee
21/7/2010 17:07 | wdurham- What are you talking about? You keep telling us the 17p isn't fixed yet you just say the deal is at 17p?. If it is not fixed as you keep telling us then your shares could be worth 12-13p or whatever when the market gets going on this. | seismick
21/7/2010 16:53 | That was what I was hinting at, a partner, like the one who was going to work with Kopane before this bid popped up. | induna123 |
