28/7/2010 09:19 | Can anyone give me a pointer on what the Finnish holdings might be worth assuming they are marketable? Should the reverse takeover go ahead it looks like these would be surplus to requirements so was wondering whether they could generate any capital. Thanks in advance. | nathand
28/7/2010 08:24 | I attended the lunc/presentation yesterday, but could not possibly do a better report than the one seen under the link on 7685 above q.v. | asmodeus
27/7/2010 11:49 | I'm sure they would have asked Frank what his intentions were. They may have said to him hold them for at least a year and don't put on any spreadbets. Best thing to do is phone and ask either FDI or KDD mgmt. I'm sure some big holders in FDI would like to know what Frank plans to do with his shares. You have a time window to ask these questions before the deal goes through. There a presentation with James Kenny today. You can talk to him about your concerns with Frank. | induna123
27/7/2010 11:41 | He's not going to hold onto them forever though is he? And why would the Scottish Football Association get involved? ;) | andyh78
27/7/2010 11:32 | Andy- That would be one for the SFA if the case | pembury
27/7/2010 11:30 | Andy, I'm sure the board of FDI would have assurances from Frank not to do something like that. Can you imagine if he did? The deal would definately not go through. | induna123
27/7/2010 11:23 | Surely there's going to be a massive overhang on this/FDI until Obtala has gone, it wouldn't surprise me if Scolaro went short on FDI via CFD/spreadbet before he dumped his holding. | andyh78
27/7/2010 11:13 | Giant Steps - 26 Jul'10 - 12:25 - 7672 of 7678 Arbitrage window widens, FDI 27-27.5p, KDD 11-11.5p Will FDI be pulled down ? You love to put a negative spin on things GS. Why would FDI be pulled down? Isn't KDD tracking FDI's price seeing as they made the bid for KDD? If anything KDD's share price should be 12.5p in line with FDI's current share price Like I said, we need time to flush out all the irrational sellers before the share price can move again. Why sell at 11p when somebody has made an offer at 17p and with the possibility of a counter bid? | induna123
27/7/2010 10:16 | Oh dear Oh Dear . | shrule
26/7/2010 15:03 | Arf, i shouldn't worry about FS, imagine he's probably using leveraged vehicles on firestone as we speak ! | giant steps
26/7/2010 14:16 | Andy - I believe there is some new jargon doing the rounds in the City - it's known as "The Scolaro Stitch". | 123asd
26/7/2010 14:11 | 123asd, Exactly! | andy
26/7/2010 14:05 | Just remember this, folks - there's only one thing more dismal than holding ONE diamond junior.... | 123asd
26/7/2010 12:25 | Arbitrage window widens, FDI 27-27.5p, KDD 11-11.5p Will FDI be pulled down ? | giant steps
26/7/2010 11:45 | Shame they cant both track Petra [pdl] | debbiegee
26/7/2010 11:32 | Checkout CDN They were under offer for an eternity when it all fizzled out the POL stepped in with an all share offer. [valueing them at 61p when previously at least 80p had been expected /hoped for] It took 2.5 months app for a few rival bidders to come out of the woodwork. | debbiegee
26/7/2010 11:00 | I wasn't making a comparison, GS. I was merely stating what happened - ENK fell harder at first than RMLA, and then the two tracked each other in roughly the proportion of the share exchange ratio. I expect much the same to happen with these two, because people are already buying/selling one or the other according to whose price might be "cheaper"/"dearer", and thus they are ironing out any price anomalies. Unless the share prices get significantly out of kilter with each other, no matter at what level, I doubt very much that the exchange ratio will be adjusted. | wdurham
26/7/2010 10:30 | wdurham - there is no fair comparison to the likes of ENK/RMLA. ENK was already buying in on the Rusina acoje project, and it was clearly just as cheap to acquire the company in a paper and cash transaction - a perfect fit. | giant steps
26/7/2010 10:12 | Thanks Andy, thats the dilemma ,since announcement of news first reaction was that it is good news but after researching Firestones it is hard to trust them either. If this scheme goes along just wish that this assertion was wrong. Unless shareholders can come to some alternative. I presented one in my previous post.would appreciate if other people could bring their thoughts on alternatives too. | corlan
26/7/2010 10:04 | corlan, And just as the FDI share price looked as though it was going to rise from the ashes. along comes this fiasco to scupper it! And this was after the recent £12m financing they said they didn't need! FDI have massively destroyed shareholder value in the last two years, and their communication is non existent. | andy |
