People are buying shares...

Seriously though the judicial review result is due imminently as we are close to the 3 month deadline and ultimately the explosives issue will be resolved, although it might take a while. So medium term things look bright IMHO (assuming the judicial review is positive).

Surely the PSNI have some recently retired officers who can be brought back into service as a variation of the English Special officers (not the old NI Specials) who could be paid to oversee things such explosives at mining operations.

The situation in the RNS is farcical given that the company has offered to pay for the service (even though others are not paying).

I would say this is decidedly un-GALlant behaviour by the authorities.

Currently Theresa May's government is in control of Northern Ireland and their security, law and order. I have written to her office to enquire as to her current policy.
I will post any reply that I receive.

Augustus I hear you but it's not all been bad news has it? They did after all get the planning approved and were it not for some determined individual that would never have been challenged.

Roland isn't going to stop until the mine is fully operational and kicking out millions of Pounds of free cash flow a year. That much is obvious.

Unfortunately, this was not unexpected - ok there's no way you could know the details - but the history here is that the system puts one obstacle after another in front of what otherwise would be a profitable gold mine run by a decent manager.

I had nearly 3% of these 5 years ago - but simply gave up when it became apparent that the powers that be were out to prevent success.

In my own UK business, I see first hand the effects of all legislation changes acting to inhibit genuine investment prospects of small scale entrepreneurs.

Assume the company have to use the PSNI. They can't just hire private security while this dispute rolls on.

Nobby on a more positive note, if the gap malarkey works, we should be filling the gap up to 7p :)

says a lot about Northern Ireland's care for the business community. DLA more attractive than real jobs. Even the PSNI don't seem to get the importance of the international reputation of any country for keeping the (business) lights on. Scandalous.

The Count. Well put. This defies belief, which had already been stretched to breaking point.

Unfortunately us PI's can not sue them for our losses.

Pathetic was a year ago.

It's almost like the local government is determined the UK doesn't have it's one and only gold mine employing hundreds of people and benefitting the local supply chain.

We have a low cost/high grade mine just waiting to be opened for gods sake.

Unfortunately I sold this morning at a big loss and it will take a lot for me to risk more money on this company that just seems destined to fail no matter what they do.

...I wonder if the planning application will be overturned now. What a farce still waiting on that one too!!

No wonder this country is in so much debt, local governments absolutely pathetic.

Speechless and beyond angry.

At least this is being picked up by the media and not hidden.

Didn't the PSNI ask Dalradian to specify in their (open to public view) planning application where they would store the explosives - rather than keeping this information to only the PSNI.

Nobby, agrees gap makes no sense but have not bought any more GAL since January because of the gap and bought GENL instead..

As TC knows I am a paid up member of the TA club! However, I have never understood the reasoning behind 'filling the gap'. You need herd behaviour to get these 'rules' to work but what is driving the selling down to the price before a sharp rise. It makes no logical sense to me..... Yes I know, for some people none of TA does🤔
