Sorry to read that you are unwell. I hope a successful trade will lift your spirits.

Bearing in mind that the US market is closed there is little doubt that the rise in the indices and other is due to the futures merchants having their fun and taking out stops. Such is the world of high finance......

Surprised indeed! However all good things must come to an end, and I fear the likelihood of a retrace once the results are announced.

Amazed to see the current price level!

I've just sold 15% of my modest holding at 1496.36p to bank some profits and will consider re-purchasing if the price eventually falls back.

Bear in mind details of volume can be delayed for several hours.

This type of price action is not unusual when the US markets are closed. The HFT computers are still running and it is a lot easier to move price when volume is low.

I have just taken another trade.......a chunky one.

It may be Thanksgiving in the US but it isn't in the bracke household. The wailing and gnashing of teeth can be heard miles away!!

My suggestion of 1500 appears to be the target.

I note URI closed up 3.5% yesterday.

With the US market closed to-day there could be some 'fun & games'.

Re the shorts I think they were covered a long time ago, as to why they are still on the books only they know.
