Just watched the Q2 presentation (for the forth time).
Great results. THANKS and well done Geoff and team.
What a presentation SO BULLISH.
Many interesting points, well worth watching.
The one I think reverent to the share price was Geoff's comments about the share buy back.
He commented they had only spent £48M of the £200M because every time they set a target, the share price rose above it and kept going.
With £150M in the bank I would think this limits the downside considerably .
He was extremely confident for the next 2 years and that is without the Trump effect which he didn't seem totally sold on.
Better veiwing than a lot of films I have paid to see so I would recommend any one who hasn't watch it to do so.

Yes how could I forget the family motto.

I was thinking about your frog comparison which got me thinking about the overall US market and comparison with a snake and a rabbit. The market is unable to break from the 'stare' of ever upward.

At the start of the year I remember some talking of DOW reaching 20,000, most including me thought that was 'nuts' doesn't seem nuts now though does it?

The main question on my mind now is when does it fall and by how much. I will be watching closely but will not 'front run' as I did with AHT.

A black swan ocurrance like Trump and the irrational reaction of the markets is just not something anyone expected.

From my perspective your analysis is invariably spot on, I will alway value your opinion and insight, as I am sure others do.

Sorry to hear that your recent AHT trades didn't work out as planned, but I would defy anyone to have foreseen the latest relentless rises, notwithstanding the exemplary results which were announced on 6th.

I, and I am sure others have appreciated your candour in posting your views and details of the positions taken, and this has been very instructive to those of us watching from the sidelines..... many thanks, and good luck with your next foray whenever that may be!

High time we had a reunion, thought it was ten years this year but it's actually 12! There you go, how does time fly? Anyway, Glenn my mail will now be bouncing, demon aka vodafone are evicting anyone who still has an email account with them so I've had to move to pastures new.

Anyway, hoping some of the old gang are still hanging on in there with the old bird, I've sold bits on the way up (oo-er!), mainly because kids are expensive, but thanks to AHT it's not baked beans for chrimbo dinner this year, messers Marks and Spencer will be supplying the necessary. thinking back to belton woods and the volume of shares in the room at dinner, must've been over half a billion at todays prices. If we'd only known at 7p eh?!

The last paragraph in my post above was referring to the wider market not AHT which has a life all of its own.

As I type we await Mr Draghi and the prospect of more QE which serves to pump the market further.

It seems that printing money is far easier than actually sorting the problems out.

I've checked with my frogs and they tell me that they were concerned to hear that you were suffering from a temperature, but now that you have taken your medicine they wish you a speedy recovery!

However, they appreciate your offer, but would rather not join you in your hot spring!

I appreciate your views on AHT thanks, and I have reverted to my favoured plan, do nothing, avoid criticism and wait 'till the fog clears!

You certainly picked the weather for pond cleaning!!

Perhaps your frogs would like to join me although my pond water maybe a tad hot for them.

The US market has gone into orbit. All time highs in the S&P and DOW.

I've seen this before. Once the bulls get the market running shorts close which in turn keeps the momentum upward. It feeds on itself until no more shorts to close, the pressure drops and then it turns. That's what has happened in the past but with QE and all the rest of it who knows.

Good evening bracke

I've just got in from emptying and cleaning our pond (yes, really!) and noted the absence of frogs - I imagine they are probably hibernating following the cold weather we had recently. Not a bad example to follow, methinks.

So cold, wet, and muddy, imagine my delight when I came inside to see where AHT ended up today, on reasonable volume.....staggering!!

Glad to see also that you have reduced your exposure in your shorts, we were a little worried :)

I bet it is tempting for traders to go short at the current level though, trouble is we are in uncharted territory....

I imagine if Deutsche ever decided to increase its TP, that would be a confident sell signal.
