12/11/2018 11:26 | Take the time to look and understand the business model that is being developed and put in place here The world supply of nanene is not expected to come from one 3T machine. Imagine where McDonalds would be if they'd tried to supply the world from their first shop in Illinois. It's all about a globally scalable plan and its execution, which is one of the many things that sets Versarien above the rest. | billwave
12/11/2018 11:23 | @luckyorange you shouldn't be gloating about Haydale. They have spent a lot of R&D, are a tier one member of GEIC, have strong links with Manchester University and after years of trying to commercialise Graphene are on the brink of bankruptcy. Versarien make the same sorts of claims about why they'll succeed as Haydale do. The difference of course is that VRS can produce FLG Graphene/Nanene and are scaling up to 3tpa. Unfortunately as I've said before there are many other producers of FLG who have commercialised and are selling their product in size while VRS despite 3 years of collaborations has not. As I've shown today Arrow Greentech clearly struggling too. VRS has a collaboration with both these companies. Do you spot a pattern here? | loglorry1

12/11/2018 11:13 | timbo , you have been pushing HAYD for years, are you not slightly embarrassed or even a little bit guilty of the fact that anyone listening to you has lost a lot of money, just asking ? In the light of that your views carry no weight unfortunately, superg called it right! | luckyorange
12/11/2018 11:07 | Arrow Greentech – An Indian partner for Versarien? How big a player is Arrow Greentech in India? Market cap now $17m (1.25bn Indian rupees) down 90% from highs. Looking at their P&L from their latest filings one can see why the share price has been decimated. Arrow Greentech working with Versarien Remember this is what Versarien say in their RNS ( "Arrow GreenTech will act as the Company's exclusive agent for the supply of graphene to the tyre and associated rubber sectors in India. This will be subject to the terms of a separate sales agency agreement; and Versarien will grant Arrow GreenTech the right of first refusal to enter into discussions regarding any future plans for the Company to create a manufacturing facility in India.” This is what the Chairman or Arrow Greentech has to say about their work in the UK with Graphene (the only mention of Graphene in their 17/18 accounts.) "Brexit will be beneficial to your company, as Arrow’s UK subsidiary companies will gain importance while opening the Indian and European markets. We have been focusing on newer and greener technology, like using Graphene to replace carbon black, and this vision will fructify in the coming years. Arrow UK has been working with some leading technology partners in UK, for this project.” Sounds good? It sounds like their UK Subsidiary might be quite a big deal? I think you can find the UK Subsidiary here again a tiny company with a tiny balance sheet ~£3m. How big is Arrowtech in the ~$10 billion Indian tire market? A search of keywords like tires, rubber, of the 17/18 accounts gives no results. What do other say about Graphene in Tires? ( In September 2016, Goldman Sachs Global Investment Research published a report on Advanced Materials (Profiles in Innovation). Goldman Sachs analysed the possibility of using graphene instead of carbon black to reinforce tires. They estimated that for tires requiring 25 weight% loading of carbon black, graphene at 1.5 weight% would provide the same or better performance. Based upon this graphene loading and assuming a carbon black price US$1.50/kg, Goldman Sachs calculated that graphene would be competitive at a cost of US$25/kg. NanoXplore believes that a selling price of less than US$10/kg would be required to ensure the rapid take up of graphene across carbon black markets. The most basic and inexpensive carbon black sells for between $US 1-2/kg and is typically used at around 30 weight % loading, although loadings in some products such as rubber can exceed 50 weight%. Specialty varieties of carbon back can cost up to $50/kg or more, and high conductivity versions cost around $25/kg. For the same benefit in the final product, graphene loadings of 1-5 weight% would be typical. Therefore, graphene selling at US$10/kg would be competitive with even the most basic and inexpensive carbon black. Remember Versarien are expected to have a facility to produce just 3tpa of graphene coming online towards the end of this year. At even USD$25/t (estimated by Goldman Sacs) that’s yearly revenue of just $75K. | loglorry1

12/11/2018 10:58 | Well I'm sure we will have another update when the interims are released, which should be most interesting considering the plastic bottles and blown film were in the testing phase in the last final report. It's manufacturing and contracts next:) | 1teepee

12/11/2018 10:53 | I see that Superg is now extolling the virtues of the NUS study which compared Graphene from over 60 suppliers. It is certainly worth considering the relative market cap of Versrean vs Elcora given that Elcora were best in class in that study: Market Cap Elcora: £6m Market Cap Versarien: £190m | timbo003 |
