11/11/2018 22:36 | Lucky can't see Arrow providing the rubber for Tesla as I would assume that the tyres are the biggest requirement of rubber and that would/could be handled from the tyre companies hopefully further down the line already and anyway once the tyres wear out it is down to the owner to choose tyres. I do like your food packaging option in your last post. I personally think we need to think further outside the box and think big re Tesla link, how about a new mass produced small vehicle for the indian market, associated with energy storage and and fast charging. Think Zap&Go, Gnanomat and Tesla storage. Bearing in mind the Sam Patel reply to Elizabeth on twitter “Elizabeth. Please see my present DP and you will get a hint that we are into something big. No more forward looking statements!!” The picture on his twitter page, if I recall was of the Tesla home battery, Oh that picture has now gone... perhaps to stop this idle speculation. | 20pc
11/11/2018 20:35 | Specialties: We have been prosecuting about 54 patents, assigned to Arrow, wherein I am the inventor, alongwith my colleagues. Arrow is a listed Company on Bombay Stock Exchange, India. Recent grants in India, US, EU, Australia and CIS countries are pointers towards our success. RND on increasing life of Fruits and Vegetable, through innovative packaging is my next goal, as India is one of the largest producers of F&V. Government Liasion in India- a tough job for foreigners, is my speciality as well. Could be the fruit and veg packaging extending life, they are good on packaging and superg wrote a hell of a lot on the subject some time back? | luckyorange

11/11/2018 20:14 | It is important to step outside what we already know 20pc, scratching my head a bit with arrow and their scientists getting excited would 'probably' be working with what they already know? | luckyorange
11/11/2018 20:04 | Lucky I initially thought about the tyre side of it but settled on the following. A VRS/Arrow Nanene manufacturing facility in India and a Tesla manufacturing or distributor deal regarding +Nanene Powerwall and +Nanene solar panels/tiles. You have got to have dreams.. | 20pc
11/11/2018 19:36 | Trying to work out why Arrow are so excited and also wondering why they are getting excited about the Tesla link. Their MO is to patent and license out? · Versarien and Arrow GreenTech have entered into an exclusive commercial arrangement for the supply of the Company's propriety Graphinks (graphene inks) to Arrow GreenTech, for onward supply to the water-soluble film market world-wide; · Versarien and Arrow GreenTech have agreed to collaborate on exploring the potential benefits of using graphene within security threads for banknotes and passports on a named-exclusive basis; · Arrow GreenTech will act as the Company's exclusive agent for the supply of graphene to the tyre and associated rubber sectors in India. This will be subject to the terms of a separate sales agency agreement; and · Versarien will grant Arrow GreenTech the right of first refusal to enter into discussions regarding any future plans for the Company to create a manufacturing facility in India. Those discussions may include the creation of a joint venture company or the right to operate under a license granted from the Company. Rubber in Teslas? | luckyorange

11/11/2018 15:13 | Cranfield again 2018. Best ellis "future of Composites" "Next date: Please enquire for next date. Type: Networkin Location: Cranf Event menu This event is exclusive to SME’s in the SEMLEP region and will give those attending an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in Graphene and composites. Attendees will learn about how the very latest in technology can be utilised in their business and opportunities for future funded research collaboration. With its advanced design and manufacturing capability, the pioneering Enhanced Composites and Structures Centre at Cranfield University is an established partner to manufacturers and the members of their supply chains through short courses, consultancy and research. The Centre investigates and develops materials and processing technology for lightweight and efficient structures and combines an expertise in low cost manufacturing with modelling, simulation and structural health monitoring technologies. This event is being run as part of the IMAGE (Innovation in Manufacturing, Aerospace and Green Economy) programme. IMAGE is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund for the next two years and will see hundreds of businesses across the region given access to the research, know-how and resource based at Cranfield University, the University of Bedfordshire and other universities in the South East Midlands region." | ellissj
11/11/2018 15:09 | VRS products were tender winners for CPI sept 17. Best ellis. "CPI and NCC collaborate to develop future lightweight materials" Written by: Tom Austin-Morgan | Published: 03 May 2018 "The Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) is collaborating with the National Composites Centre (NCC) to develop the next generation of lightweight materials. The project, known as ‘Enhanced structural composites’ (ECOi), is evaluating the functionality and applicability of new graphene-enhanced materials in a variety of industries. The ECOi project is being carried out in consultation with the University of Manchester at their National Graphene Institute, to generate and test an array of new graphene composites that have improved functional properties compared to current materials. “The ability to manufacture exciting new materials, such as graphene-enhanced composites, at a rate and cost acceptable to industry could radically change products of the future,” said Alison Starr, executive director of strategy and business at the NCC. “This will reduce the impact on the environment, both when creating the materials, and when the resulting products are in use.” Recent pressures to reduce carbon emissions, have increased the need to investigate innovative alternatives to conventional materials. With graphene being lightweight yet strong, it has the potential to reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing process and operating costs, while improving the rate at which products can be manufactured. For example, using graphene-enhanced materials to build a plane would make the vehicle weigh less, thus improving fuel efficiency and reducing harmful carbon emissions. The ECOi project will identify multiple grades of graphene and optimise them for incorporation into a resin. Prior investigations have primarily researched graphene utility under laboratory conditions. The project will then look to scale-up the process to produce pilot industrial volumes of material. Suitable graphene-enhanced composite materials will be selected and investigated to understand if the enhanced properties shown during lab scale, such as electrical conductivity and toughness, translate when the material is produced at an industrial scale. Materials identified within the ECOi project will be subject to a series of complex experiments designed to assess activity and function, to ensure it is suited to the desired application. This includes tests for the mechanical, thermal and electrical properties of the material. Knowledge gained in the project will be disseminated to UK manufacturing companies, helping to safeguard the long-term future for the UK’s materials manufacturing industry. By investigating these new routes for composite material formation under industrial guidance, the risks associated with these processes can be avoided or reduced, potentially decreasing the time it takes for new, advanced materials to reach the marketplace. Tom Taylor, director of future business at CPI added: “If successful, this project will ultimately contribute to the safeguarding and creation of UK-based jobs, as well as helping the aviation industry become more sustainable.” | ellissj
