axotyl,

I've seen you're interested in board visitors - I've just come back from NZ via Dubai, so don't get too excited about visitors from there being new investors...I dipped in and out occasionally while I was away, but way too much noise on this BB at the moment, though. Agree with the "DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS" stance taken by superg, hope I haven't inadvertantly crossed the line by mentioning it ;-)

There were a couple of movies I watched on the long, tedious flights I would recommend to anyone invested in VRS given what's going on at the moment - "The Big Short" and "The China Hustle", both available on Netflix, I believe.

TBS was so good I watched it on the way out an the way back...I see SG and others have recommended this.
TCH will give an insight into tactics employed by China to fleece foreigners out of their money...those of a nervous disposition and relying on China news to send the share price into orbit should maybe avoid it...

A couple of lines from the films which seem apt to VRS (probably misquoted after a 24hrs on a plane and jet lag...apologies).
TBS - "Truth is like poetry - and nobody xxxxing likes poetry"
TCH - "Those drawn to shorting shares were most likely dropped on their head as a child"

Someone said they can't sell to China.

Was it you rat that posted that as said by someone else?

It was BS they state what they have sold to China in the past. However sales are sod small to the rest of the the world it now doesn't get a detailed mention.

EG 2017

during the same period in 2017, shipments to two countries accounted for more than 10% of product sales. China and South Korea accounted for approximately 27% of total product sales during the nine months ended September 30, 2017.

2018

International sales for the three months ended September 30, 2018 were 5% of product sales

International sales for the nine months ended September 30, 2018 were 5% of product sales

That's happened because of Callaway.

Arrowgreen

I see they are getting a mention again. At the time I picked up that Arrowgreen are highly excited about something they have found by adding Nanene. It's one that I think will do well.

As per sources, no I can't right now but they are done I will mention it. I got the feeling that they dropped some in on Monday because of news and that weekend things.

I say feeling as I don't know.

My hope would be that any of those with a few sell them before the bigger (much bigger) news comes.

On that point there is a buzz going on re something and I can see from certain posts the buzz is also elsewhere beyond anyone I know. We'll see if that buzz translates into honey.

Carbon black is not only used in rubber (tyres and other products ), but also in plastics, inks, paints and colour pigments.

Just to confirm 3 tonnes is just the module size of the kit. Expansion can come from multiples of that or an upgrade per unit on the next size up.

What matters there is whether an upgrade in size keeps the quality. Size upgrades in all industries typical equate to economy of scale.

VRS don't throw money into things and then cross their fingers, they spend based on the demand.

EG for years now AGM have 42 staff 25 of which I identified as head this manager that. The salaries come to something like over £70k each average.

I did warn that the fishing rod news would be a small order perhaps less than £50k per year, yet it was put out as big news at the time. Lies then as we know as it wasn't launched at all and they made up what the Century CEO said, he told me there had been not a launch and I must be mistaken.

Indeed ms - most of these lab discoveries use single layer (2D) graphene in their experiments. Vrs have 2D products, thus logically we have a supply of materials than can offer the closest results to these experiments to be used in products in the 3D world? 3D graphite producers per proposed iso standard will by definition struggle to get a look in. The dp pic is in the thread as Fireball has posted, I thought he was referring to links with the PM but not apparently, it does seem as if he is hopeful of supplying something to Tesla.

Link to just that statement and the DP

Regarding Arrow and Tesla, when that DP was taken Sam Patel states "Awaiting Tesla to make in India. Arrow will be happy to energise the dream car". Re Tunghsu they don't mess about "So far, it has boasted more than 1,500 patents totally, including those under approval and this number is increasing by 40 percent annually". How many of these new patents do you think will include graphene enhanced products/technologies! Lots I would imagine.

Good spot woody. Think that's to do with replacing carbon black - graphite - in tyres with +nanene. We know arrow looking at that re india in the collab rns. Of course, with india having a stated desire to be a world hub for EV production, the benefits of having a local supply of harder wearing tyres to compliment EV's has been well discussed on this BB. And in this regard +nanene being a 2D material, should outrun any 3D materials in terms of quality. We have already developed a +nanene CFRP product too. Obviously suppliers of good quality graphite 3D materials could be used in coatings, soundproofings, insulations etc aspects in ev production. Aimo. Best ellis.

"We have been focusing on newer and greener technology, like using Graphene to replace carbon black, and this vision will fructify in the coming years. Arrow UK has been working with some leading technology partners in UK, for this project."

@F3rdinand, I wouldn't hold your breath with Versariens 3tpa production being of any interest to Tesla.

FGR had this comment at last years Chairman's address to shareholders at last years AGM at the new 90-100tpa Graphene factory at Henderson

"We all know of the enormous potential for graphene, but one of the biggest obstacles to commercialisation has been the availability of supply. Companies like Tesla would love to embrace graphene more fully, but as they said to us a year ago, “we can’t get enough supply to warrant us turning our minds to it”. Well, that was before we built this facility. Industry will now be able to commit resources to developing commercial applications, taking the science from the laboratories onto the factory floor. It is all about scaling up from here."
