01/11/2018 07:57 | And the iso standards committee define 2D graphene. Outside their definition, and you have 3D graphite. Simple as, and the performance gain is reflected as such. This is why the big names partner with vrs. And why 2D experts nail their colours to the mast of vrs. logically, they know the worth of the companys products and know their reputations are safe with neill and co. Aimo. Dyor. 01/11/2018 07:54 | Vrs1 As I said early on the VRS team are a different breed. Far too often the crooks have a free run of repeatedly lying on many fronts. It’s been a problem for years. Typically nomads don’t want it challenged as it can at times be part of their agenda. The AIM nomad system was broken long ago. It serves as an inside info route for scum to commit fraud. I chuckled last night having learned apparently that I’m dishing out death threats on here and inferences that I’m a regular golf player with the senior management. So anyone that went to the charity day then fits the bill re the golf then. Clowns | ![]() superg1
01/11/2018 07:51 | This article from 10th sept shows the problems. Graphite producers passing off their products as graphene. VRS confident their products meet proposed iso graphene standard, per Annual Report jul 18. Name another company that has self declared this ? Logically, if your products could, you would - shout it from the rooftops ! "It is worrisome that producers are labeling black powders as graphene and selling for top dollar, while in reality they contain mostly cheap graphite. This kind of activity gives a bad reputation to the whole industry and has a negative impact on serious developers of graphene applications. Only through standardization and following protocols for characterization as proposed here, the graphene industry can evolve reliably." | ellissj
01/11/2018 07:50 | Thanks for the post 20pc Worth noting that Andrea Ferrari owns 1.1% of Cambridge Graphene Ltd following the acquisition by VRS (as does Stephen Hodge and a few others own shares too). May not seem a huge percentage but if you think of how much of the VRS market cap may be attributable to Cambridge Graphene Ltd, both now and in the future, then their stake becomes very incentivising. | ![]() mcfly79
01/11/2018 07:49 | Having had a good look at AECOM, (which I previously didn't), they are an innovative company and that keeps them at the top of the game. Any concrete use will need to start in a small way I would assume so not near term. However, the rest of what they do , which seems to be almost anything , will benefit from the addition of nanene and working with 'new' materials fits into their ethos and forward thinking business plan. It would make sense that they have a license deal with VRS in the future as they operate in so many countries that nanene production would need to be in-situ to provide the quantities required as and when | ![]() luckyorange
01/11/2018 07:48 | Whether or not, Neill Ricketts reads this or any other bulletin board is no one's business. He can do what he wants with his time. Sounds like the doomsters are not happy with the share price rise and now they stoop to moaning about this. Please go away doomsters. This is a forum for those interested in VRS, not for those who think VRS is not for them. | vrs1
01/11/2018 07:46 | @SuperG or others. Have you checked Aim Regs to see if it is a regulatory requirement? I have looked at the section on social media and I cannot find anything requiring the CEO to read message boards. | ![]() loglorry1

01/11/2018 07:35 | The problem with changes to mass market concrete are twofold 1. It's very cheap about $40/t. If you require even 0.1% graphene to add strength etc that's 1kg per tonne. At Nanene prices here quoted at $1000/kg you've just increased your concrete price 20x! 2. Large concrete structures discussed here last for ages. It's a very brave buildings regulator that signs off on this sort of change over a large important structure like a bridge or building without knowing the very long term effects. Notwithstanding there are some small trials in things like paving stones. I posted about a company leading the way here. | ![]() loglorry1
01/11/2018 07:29 | axotyl he's said himself 50 tweets one day. It's self evident that he's tweeting throughout the day. He's twisted the lost editing claim to a post I earlier corrected and made clear that I had edited in that change. Further Gnaomnat have filed a patent application I can't find any proof that they "have a patent" eg granted as he says. I don't believe he has a regulatory duty to read BBs. I don't know ow of Anny other CEO that has said they do. | ![]() loglorry1

01/11/2018 06:51 | 20pc Thanks for sharing a great attribute of this board . I have now read both links inspirational and eye opening omg . Some stuff I knew but to hear their comments and they are not recent so things have likeky moved forward behind the scenes . Makes you understand why the team Seem excited for the future. 01/11/2018 01:40 | Just been going over old ground and looking at the 5 year, £6.8m research project, with the lead research organisation being Cambridge Uni and had Andrea Carlo Ferrari as the principal investigator. With 40 odd organisations involved including Nokia, DuPont, Dyson, Victrix, Huawei, Airbus, Tata Steel …. an impressive list of contacts. Wondering how much value a slice of that action would represent to a company. As a result of all that brain power, money and companies involved the listed outcome was a spin out called Cambridge Graphene which of course is now majority owned by VRS. If you have not seen it, it is worth a look, plenty of follow up research to do It was interesting to see the Intellectual Property “Process to make graphene/polymer compound/masterbatch | ![]() 20pc

31/10/2018 22:37 | Serratia, I'm not intending to chip away at the foundation you have established as the concrete expert in these parts, but I am wondering whether your researches uncovered anything relating to "cementless concrete". Entirely possible that whatever old rubbish it is mixed up from, graphene could still improve it. Also people like AECOM building large structures are likely to be very cautious about new mixes. Interesting though. "“At first, the idea that concrete can be produced without using cement seemed radical. Now, after several years of intensive work we succeeded to develop alkali-activated concrete, which compressive strength is 55MPa (the same as in usual concrete). Instead of Portland cement we are using alkali-activated industrial waste products – fly ash, biofuel bottom ash, AlF3 production waste – silicagel etc,” said Vytautas Bocullo, a researcher who worked on the project." "The final product is as strong as traditional concrete, is more resilient to the damaging effects of acid and is more stable in cases of exposure to extreme heat and cold."
