With a performance like that and were still at JP Morgan, he would have been sent on his bike by now

I imagine there will be a significant amount of investors on these boards that have over £28k in their folio and have the freedom to step on or off the merry go round without the worry of upsetting shareholders

Exactly: He has not lost money...

You only lose money when you realise a loss by selling it...
This guy commits money... COMMITS... Not like a lot of wannabe traders here, in out in out and shake it all about.
He has just committed a further £28,000
How many of the experts here even have portfolios worth half of that yet commit every day to telling us how brilliant they are.

The latest sulfur chat... Understand:

Sulfur is the most abundant element in petroleum after carbon and hydrogen. The average sulfur content varies from 0.03 to 7.89 mass% in crude oil. The sulfur compounds can be found in two forms: inorganic and organic. Inorganic sulfur, such as elemental sulfur, H2S and pyrite can be present in dissolved or suspended form. Organic sulfur compounds such as thiols, sulfides, and thiophenic compounds represent the main source of sulfur found in crude oil.

Crude oils with higher viscosities and higher densities usually contain higher amounts of more complex sulfur compounds. The aliphatic acyclic sulfides (thioethers) and cyclic sulfides (thiolanes) are easy to remove during a hydrodesulfurization process or by thermal treatment. On the other hand, sulfur contained in aromatic rings, such as thiophene and its benzologs (e.g. benzothiophene, dibenzothiophene, benzonaphthothiophene) are more resistant to sulfur removal by hydrodesulfurization and thermal conversion.

The share price has taken a hammering.. (Overdone in my opinion) and we still have lots of news to receive, including whether the heavy oil find will be viable (If it is then we can expect a rebound from whenve we fell, and then we wait the Carapa results. Both sets of news could propel the share price .. One lot of the news has already decimated the SP, does it have further downside value? If it was a one trick pony it would have, but its a successful Oil Producer paying dividends...

Tullow was also removed from Goldman Sachs conviction buy list on Thursday. Price target chopped from 326p to 183p. It has to be said that Goldman looked incredibly optimistic even prior to the recent news. They were very keen on Guyana - not now I would imagine!

What makes you think this is 'unofficial news', The article may have been written today. This looks like information that was available on 13th, Don't think Jeremy Wilson would spend 28 grand on shares today or 7 directors at ECO would all buy shares just to prop up the price for an afternoon

I think you possibly misread. But laboratory analysis of crude taken from the Jethro and Joe discoveries, in the Orinduik block, revealed crude of 12° API gravity and c.5pc sulphur—in contrast to the lighter 32.1° API gravity and 0.5pc sulphur content of ExxonMobil’s Liza discovery—risking the commerciality of both prospects. Looks like .5%sulphur not 5%.

Maya heavy crude oil with an API specific gravity between 21 and 22 degrees and Sulphur content of 3.3%, meaning only the most sophisticated refineries are capable of profitably processing it.

Jethro/Joe is 12 API it seems, so much heavier than Maya. Its also 5% Sulphur content as well, so much much more Sulphur level. I would hazard at a guess its highly acidic as well.

I just cannot see that its possible to produce it and make any decent return on the investment, especially with IMO2020 coming in. EG......its not commercial.

Lets see how the ECO fans try to spin the 5% Sulphur level revelation.......... As I said, you can spin and blag that heavy oil can be commercial - you'll struggle to blag 12 API and 5% Sulphur is.......

Looks like we have unofficial news......

Jethro/Joe are 12 API (we knew it was heavy) BUT BUT BUT... 5% Sulphur !!!!!!!!

Yes, you read it right....... 5% Sulphur content it says in the article below, no wonder its being.......delayed in being released waiting for.....whatever they are waiting for.

Thats why TLW said VERY high sulphur. 0.5% is the cut off from Sweet into Sour Crude, so over 0.5% is sour, but this is 5%.

The £28k is 39% of his annual TLW remuneration..

Some may shout small potatoes, but how many of those shouting that, who know nothing of Tullow other than free BB forums spend either A: £28,000 on "Investments" (Not in out shake it all about) because he will have tied that money up for a long long time.
39% of annual remuneration is not small potatoes either.

I would suggest... "Ignore at your will, but the guy is no fool"

That's a useful sign Master, small potatoes though. It doesn't send a screaming message that 'we believe' the sell off due to Jethro/Joe disappointment is overdone. Looks simply like a token buy to steady the market while the commerical vaiability of these wells is assessed and while we wait for news about Carapa-1.

well, we have seen no news of large holders selling, just news of one institution establishing a new 3% Holding. So most of the selling has probably been retail and shorters. This implies the stock could recover soon. Oil price is also strengthening
