jamaica,

Jamaica dropped off the Tullow Half year Exploration Programme plan they have a large position and in shallow water.

A drill-or-drop decision is required by end-2019, and given positive indications on the seismic, an
exploration well would be drilled in 2020.

Heavey appears set to target the unloved assets that the oil majors want off their books.
Ican think of two?
At one time Heavey was a large share holder in Tullow I dont know if he still is but if he is he will of felt the effects of the price going all the way down from its peak.
That might be why Heavey is dipping his toes into the exploration business,

They are talking about West Africa but
If he could bring Private equity into Uganda or Kenya he could perhaps win on two fronts one being in Tullow and the other his new venture.
interesting to see If it plays out.
Tullow also will need funds going forward in Guyana, Both Exxon and Total have been selling off to raise cash.

Guyana Day 18 on drilling Joe.

Yes, I'd say a lot of people would be interested in a piece of Aidans new company. Exciting!

Interesting story. TLW's never really been the same since Tom Hickey left. Although that may just be a coincidence. Wonder if the new acquisition company is looking at Zafiro in EG?

you would think tullow would be planning to drill many more exploration wells in guyana rather than peru and suriname which makes me wonder if they are talking about farming down and giving up operator ship of orinduik already.

Always find it slightly disconcerting when a new presentation comes out days before an imminent well result SS! Africa Oil have done a very good job conjuring up a High Impact exploration program from virtually nowhere.

Good bullish movement on the back of the POO rise. For your clear break to the upside, I'd say exceeding 238 at close of weekly period would be very bullish.

Here's the weekly chart including one gap that has not yet filled. Gaps in weekly data are quite uncommon. If you look carefully, there's a smaller gap from around mid September 2017 that closed quite quickly.

Rhetoric and POO has turned bullish after being horribly bearish (can the fundamental situation really change this fast? Can Saudi really bring POO to 80-100?) No-one can see into the future, but you could argue that neither the bull nor the bear case can be relied upon with a great deal of probability. You could also make an argument that the POO (Brent) would be backtesting a previous break to the downside if it reached around 64 dollars a barrel.

I don't know what's going to happend, but this chart might identify a POO that would be worth watching closely.
