Hi Keifer-1,

Consider the source mission statement of the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis :

"Accelerating the transition to a diverse, sustainable and profitable energy economy"

I would say there's a fair chance that the IEEFA has an agenda.....

Carlos, the map in the newspaper article, which pre-dates TLW's updated maps, does not show the Carapa location afaics. Looking at 3D Map slide 5, west of Joe looks like further tertiary prospect(s). Also Amutak should be there, which CPR says is Upper Cretaceous Channel Fill, so that should be coloured yellow. Underneath Joe is an underlying cretaceous prospect(Rappu).

Some of the names are similar like Aurituik/Amatuk/Iatuk.

Tullow IR may not be amused on reading one of their email answers being plastered all over the Press.

Please ignore me, if only I could read what is put in front of me !

It quite clearly shows the Carapa well on Slide 4 & 5 about 40 miles south of Jethro,
in the 'discovery presentation'.

hxxps://www.guyanastandard.com/2019/08/22/tullow-oil-to-recover-financial-benefits-from-exxons-hammerhead-discovery/

That map they show has really confused me regarding the location of Carapa, as it does not correlate with the TLW 'discovery presentation' of an East West line.

Hammerhead, Jethro and Joe match but Carapa can not be west of Joe, as the nearest part of Kanuku is South East of Joe and due south of Jethro. ???

I know it does not matter in the great scheme of things but none the less I would like to know.

SS - Maybe Total could buy out Argentina/Cormoros/Jamaica/whats left of Mauritania (we exited C15) as well. I don't think they will be buying any of these, or Peru come to that!

Our on shore position in Cote d'Ivoire holds some promise. Thats a keeper for me at least.

On another matter. Not so many Chinese heading your way this year!

xx first thing that came into my mind when I looked at Peru ,where is Total/QP? they could buy out Pitkin Petroleum 25% then we have them looking at the exploration data.
Uganda and Kenya are an embarassment and a risk we dont need.just glad we are getting some costs back in Kenya trucking at the moment.

Patrick Pouyanné(Total) holds all the cards.

Farmed into Uganda (subject to Museveni impasse).
Bought ought Maersk Oil, now our partners in Kenya.
Farmed into Guyana.
Bought Anadarko SSAfr positions from Occidental Petroleum, now our partner in Ghana.
Introduced QP to Guyana.

Maybe he can engineer a solution (at a price).

rationleee, an excellent post with which I fully agree.

I've been a holder for too many years and have to say,"please concentrate on Guyana".

frazboy - Premier has extended plateau to 2021, rather than 2020. And their July presentation shows upside plan having 4.5 years of plateau. So potentially into 2022.

As for TLW, TLW should actually flog K along with Ug. assets while they are at it and focus on Guyana fully.

Would rather prefer TLW focusing more on E&A in Guyana and fast track appraisal, development in Guyana itself rather than getting distracted with other prospects in Peru, Suriname,IvoryC, etc. (would make sense, if TLW have unconstrained E&A capital) Because whats the point of a 100mmbl+ discovery in the middle of nowhere in Peru, etc. when you have a huge accreage to explore in Guyana hotspot which can be monetised or developed easily?

TLW lacks focus in Exploration it seems. They seem to be interested in being jack of all acreages and master of none. I would want TLW to pick two material and easily monetisable basins/countries like Guyana and explore/appraise/monetise/develop just there rather than getting hands in all the pies. Time to diversify from the African continent for production - Guyana could be a good way out of K/UG mess?
